Hall Effect Keyboard?

I was watching this on eBay and wondered who got it.







It looks Hall Effect to me and didn't go for too bad of a price.

pretty much the main reason I wanted it. Earliest known doubleshot spacebar from microswitch. Would also be my oldest HE board by a few months.

I prefer blank POM but we can't get everything in Hall effect (yet). SP has HE moulds but I doubt there'd be enough people to justify a GB

If dorkvader hadn’t wanted it, I was going to put a bid in, because the hotel reservation keycaps are sweet, everything looks to be in great condition, and there are enough nice 1.5–2u blanks that the board is a perfect source for building a custom-layout HE board with. I suspect that b***a bid higher than any of us would really want to go though.

By the way, nubbinator (and everyone else), you should rehost images somewhere they’ll stick around, instead of just hotlinking from ebay auctions, so if anyone finds this discussion later in a google search the images won’t just be blank:

that reminds me: I need  to wire mine to a teensy  and start using it.

Anyway, jacobolus is rightt: this is an almost-ideal board to convert: the spacebar row has extra switch locations  for you to move switches to (not all do) and it comes with lots of extra keycaps to put there. There's even arrowkeys and a tenkey. I would probably have added a function row from  my spares and made it into very close to a standard 104 layout. It even comes with the "better" (imo) spacebar profile. I shoulda bid higher and made b***a pay ohwell maybe next time. There are other targets for conversion.

Let's hope B***A does something useful with it. or at least post pictures. (that was a joke, haha fat chance)
