I have already used it, I'd feel bad for the person who would open after buying it and seeing a used tip and an discolored mounting barrel.
But if it was only that... Maybe. Closest frys is like 15 miles.

I didn't get it from Fry's unfortunately. While I could return it and repurchase, I have already used it, so I wouldn't feel right. Not to mention I would have to wait for it to get shipped (again), and I'm only part way through my project. 

I waited forever for this thing to go on sale. I was pretty happy with the $85, which seemed like a few dollars off. If I had just waited a few more days....

I didn't get it from Fry's unfortunately. While I could return it and repurchase, I have already used it, so I wouldn't feel right. Not to mention I would have to wait for it to get shipped (again), and I'm only part way through my project.

Well why not buy the new one and return that new boxed one to the other store?  No one ever said you had to return the iron you already used, well unless they had store specific part numbers, but I doubt that is the case.

Usually places want there to be a store near by in order to price match, like within a certain mile radius.

Give it a shop though
