New Filco Arrival
« on: Mon, 21 September 2009, 14:29:05 »
We had another big orange lorry round today with a few more boxfuls of joy from Diatec.

There is Tenkeyless NKRO in 104 style. We've got Cherry Browns and Cherry Blacks in this shipment.

Apart from that, we've stocked up on accessories.
For the keyboards there are:-
Blank Black Keysets.
WASD keys in lavender blue.
Roofs
Leather Wristrests for standard and Tenkeyless.
Velcro cable ties in black and white.
Keypullers
And we have those great little USB connections with the ball joint.

The news on 105 Key layouts is that we're all systems go and hoping for a landed date late November. That will be full size, NKRO with Blues, Blacks and Browns.

Great news. I was looking to get my hands on a roof but the shipping costs from the US or Japan have so far made it quite uninteresting.. however I can't find the products on your website yet? Did you not list them yet or am I simply blind.

I have been looking at your FKBN87Z/EB-Y boards, but as I understand it they are only USB native and PS/2 with an adapter.

I take it that these are the only style you have in stock ? and is this the same with your G80-3000's ?

My KVM's and or OS'es ...I have yet to 100% work out if its the Aten or the OS that are the problem, and or why they do not like USB/PS/2 adapters.

105 key with blues and blank keys... possible?

Any projections with regards to pricing?

As long as it's not wallet-rapingly bad, I want.

We've come across this with KVM switches. I seem to remember some only work with default PS2 devices. I think we know of a KVM that doesn't suffer this, i'll need to check.

InSanCen.

We've got Blue Cherry 105 models on order. Should be with us some time in November.
We've got blank sets for 104s already - so I would say possible, Yes.

I'm using a Blue Cherry 104 at the office this week and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I'd better start saving my pennies, and being nice to the other half, she'll brain me if I get another KB, (Damn you GeekHack! I do not want to turn into a collector! I can't afford to do it!)

In the US, this is a good thing.  It's funny how slang doesn't seem to translate well.

Bruce, I have just ordered one, its silly not to at this price IMO.

Yeah the KVM thing is a bit of a pain, but not a deal breaker with a board at this price.
I will be after a Cherry blue G80-3000 PS/2 some time soon, but we will sort that later.
Cheers.

Yeah, I vaguely remember that from my time over  in the US (Oregon for 2.5 years). Guess which Idiot asked for a *** and a rubber (Cigarette and an eraser)...

And the reply was, "I don't use rubbers", and the rest, as they say, is history.

Bruce, I got the keyboard, thanks.

The switches seem a bit sharp, but then, I dont think that I have an ALPS switched board that is less than 10 years old (and been very much used), thats also not to say I dont like them.
But I am shocked to find that there is a shortcut that I must use (what seems like every 20 minutes) a lot that uses a numberpad key, and I am missing that some what, but some remapping will sort that out.

All in all a very nice keyboard at a great price, and as for it being 'B' stock, well I cant find a mark on it.

Again Thank you.

Bruce, are you still hoping to get 105-key Filcos, UK layout, n-Key rollover with Cherry MX Brown switches?

Failing that, is there any chance of the G80-3000 with brown switches? I already have the G80-3000 with blues, but I think I want something a bit quieter, but of equal quality.

Apart from that, we've stocked up on accessories.
...
Roofs
...

All the accessories you mentioned are in the store except for the keyboard roofs. Are you still planning on selling these?
