hello everybody
« on: Mon, 13 July 2015, 10:24:46 »
I'm new , I found the forum casually looking of mechanical keyboards on google; I'm Italian , so sorry if my english is bad.

I saw this keyboard and I would like this one .

I found the acrylic housing http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/housings-and-related-parts/82-acrylic-housing-for-nerd-tkl.html#/countersink-yes_fastening_with_flat_head_bolts costing $80

and nerd tkl pcb http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/pcbs-and-controllers/60-nerd-tkl-ver20-pcb.html costing $60

but  where can I find a tutorial that explain to me where solder LEDs , resistors etc ?
I've never welded ; but I do not think it is difficult , you just plug holes .

I hope someone can explain these things . thanks for the attention.

Welcome to Geekhack!

First of all there's a whole section here for GON's keyboards.

There's already a few threads there about the NerD - perhaps one of those will answer your question.

Otherwise please feel free to create new thread in that section with your specific questions, and hopefully someone will be able to answer, as not everyone checks the new members area.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
