Cleaning/Lubing Cherry MX Browns?
« on: Tue, 04 August 2015, 15:16:18 »
I'm new to this, so I'm not sure if I'm getting all this down correctly.

A while ago I managed to spill water on my CM Storm QuickFire Pro with Cherry MX Brown's. I flipped it upside down (that might have been a bad idea), and let it dry. Unfortunately, many of the keys were sticky after, and even after using the hot water/straw trick, some keys continue to be sticky.

From what I gather, I have to:
1) Clean with alcohol, CRC QD Electronic Cleaner, or some form of DeoxIT
2) Lube the switches with Geek Hack Krytox Switch Lube... which is out of stock. (And what thickness do I need?) or... something else?

I'm mainly stuck up on the lube - what should I buy, exactly? I have access to Krytox GPL205 and Telfon Silcone Lubricant (in a spray bottle).

You've got the right idea. The GPL205 will work fine.
