Cherry factory tour, revisited
« on: Sat, 29 August 2015, 02:00:19 »
I just discovered this great Cherry MX Factory Tour video on YouTube. It was posted almost a year ago, and there was a thread about it here, but I don't think anyone's mentioned it since, and I thought some of the people new to GH would enjoy it.

If you don't watch the whole thing, don't miss the part at at 11:25'' where they laser-engrave keycaps—it's definitely one of the cooler KB-related things you'll ever see!

If only they let them into the newer production facility!

I like how the laser engraving was the coolest of the things they showed...

Now I want to know where their dye subbing and injection facilities are... oh wait... I forgot that Cherry wasn't a good company anymore.

For me the best part was seeing all the innovation happening everywhere. It's just overwhelming, you can hardly breathe for all the innovative innovation.

Not like that cheap ripoff company, Gateron. They just copy and expect people to actually buy their better, smoother, products from a company that works actively with the keyboard enthusiast community instead of our ORIGINAL, scratchy, wobbly switches that we haven't bothered making new molds for. Lame.

Actually, since Cherry have had to make new molds for the new silent sliders, maybe they'll end up being smoother than what we've come to expect from them.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Get a Novatouch for best of both worlds.
