Hey Geekhack
« on: Sat, 05 September 2015, 10:58:47 »
I love feels and hate money, so I decided I should pick up a mechanical keyboard. I'm working on a PhD at Minnesota and do lots of writing, editing, note taking, etc. About a month into the switch from MBP scissors, and there is no going back. Decided to hold off on my first post for something worth sharing, so here's my V60 GTR. Gateron brown switches, Gateron PBT in milk and light grey, and Binge's Ellis Island Ork--because there is no such thing as enough dakka.

Welcome to Geekhack!

The classic look of beige - can't beat it.  Blanks are a plus, although part of your bottom row seems defective?

And an artisan - I hope you really don't like money, because if you continue like this you won't have much left :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Anthropology. So plenty of cash to spend on pretty plastic, provided I sleep under my desk and combine grocery and alcohol budgets with liquid lunches at Palmer's.
