USB-cable defect?
« on: Sat, 12 September 2015, 09:47:34 »
Hi! My custom USB cable show resistance between both shields, is it defect or still usable? 2.24 kilo ohm, which is the same value as if i measure nothing.

If it's the same as measuring nothing then that means they aren't connected at all.  USB only needs four wires and they are all connected to the pins inside the connector so I expect it will work just fine.

Actually I'll go one better - I've just checked a couple of cables here and those shields aren't connected either and they've never given me any problems so don't worry about it :)
