[PSA] Don't Trust Seth_k
« on: Sat, 28 November 2015, 18:41:03 »
Not fullfilling order of pcbs for his pre orders.

Not fullfilling order of leds for his GB.

I paid him a Viper 2months ago, it's still at his place. Send me 2 different tracking, with none of them going past the "p Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" statut.

proof of payment : in french but what's important is the date,

proof of bull**** tracking number staying at " Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" statut

I proxied a G80-2100 + G80-1000 for him, I was supposed to get back the shipping cost (100€ !! ) with the shipping of the item above, I'll most likely have to shove it up my arse.

proof he has it :

proof it was at my place :

The G80-1000 was coming from ramnes who will confirm you it got sent to my place aswell.

Don't trust this guy.

I have a lot of other **** to show from our skype chatting.
Seth if you read this, don't try to delete compromising things, I got the chat log backed up.

Maybe I'm slightly ageist, but I would never expect the greatest of communication or reliability from a 17yo on the internet with possibly no real idea of real world repressions.

That's half of the reason I do it, people should be aware of the situation.

 :(

I'm not in nearly as bad a state as you, and I know PP will refund me, but I'm not happy at all about the status in the LED GB. I assume they will revoke the vendor status as some point soon.

I feel dumb for even joining in the first place. At least it was just LEDs for me.

Can you really link paypal with bank account at that age? I don't think so.

Paypal has an age restrictions unless he's using someone else and that someone else possibly adult who have better ideas of the real world and would have his/her bank account ****ed up

According to the LED Group buy thread he has two! If you read the screenshot provided  here, by filphil, you will see he says that he has all the shipping money in his "other PayPal account". I didn't even know you could have one PP account under the age of 17, let alone two.

You can have a bank account at a young page with a parent to cosign. And on PayPal you can just lie about your age.

Oh come now don't be ageist. Let someone's actions, not their age, determine their worth. Some 17 year olds screw up group buys, others are publishing research papers. Everyone's situation is different.

I do worry about sethk though. We don't have all the details, just the frustration of him dropping the ball here. I've sold Seth some keyboards and always found him a joy to work with. What changed?

Yeah, I think ageism stems from cynicism and possible bitterness that younger people are having so much responsibility and what not. I definitely disagree with being prejudice against someone simply because of their age, but I was surprised because Seth seemed older to me!

Yeah, I always felt like Seth was an okay guy. Not sure what's up, but his recent issues are a little unsettling.

How many 17 year olds are publishing research papers? I would imagine that the number would be about the same as the number of 17 year olds running group buys for keyboard related material.

Seriously I am curious, enlighten me.

Pwnarwhal owes me GID Relegendables, as well as Stickers. He had repeatedly promised that he had already mailed something out, and when asked a day later, would say he forgot to mail it, and will mail it out another time.

Weeks later, when I asked again, he personally said this little snippet to me on Skype.

I consider myself to be very understanding and generous, but I also have my limitations, and I feel that it is only right to share this with you guys...

Enough is enough.

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't trust too many people.

I don't wish to speak out publicly against people, but ask around and people will say a lot more in private.

From what I learned here in my short time is that if you are going to do a trade, sell, or buy from someone ask some mods or some trustworthy people here and they will tell you if the person is trustworthy or not. It's a pretty small community so there aren't that many bad eggs in here. But they are a few.

Agreed, I just don't think GH can maintain a policy of "hands-off" with scamming. I'm not saying they need to like take responsibility for anything, but as you said, maybe a little list of people who are agreed upon as scammers by multiple accounts would be nice.

Not fullfilling order of pcbs for his pre orders.

Not fullfilling order of leds for his GB.

I paid him a Viper 3months ago, it's still at his place. Send me 2 different tracking, with none of them going past the "pre-shipment infos send ... " statut.

I proxied a G80-2100 for him, I was supposed to get back the shipping cost (100€ !! ) with the shipping of the item above, I'll most likely have to shove it up my arse.

Don't trust this guy.

I have multiple proofs if people want them.

Maybe I'm slightly ageist, but I would never expect the greatest of communication or reliability from a 17yo on the internet with possibly no real idea of real world repressions.
Hopefully everything works out. We don't need another Sherry.

i'm young but I could definitely see where you're coming from.
I've dealt with seth one time buying a valentine set, and he forgot the spacebar, and it took him over 2 weeks to get it shipped out. ****ing ridiculous.

I'm not Seth, but I did PM him a while back out of concern that I hadn't seen him around in a while... I don't have any money tied up with him, I was just checking in. He replied that school has been overwhelming him and keeping him too busy to meet his other commitments.

Just sharing this as an FYI. I know it doesn't take much time to post a quick update, but we've seen many times how people get this extreme kind of anxiety about their unmet commitments on here, and its easier to not even acknowledge the issue. Unfortunately this just makes things worse for everyone involved. But it's our scumbag brains playing tricks on us.

Yea, we've all seen it happen where people get overwhelmed with other things in their life.

Not saying it's a good reason / excuse, but it's been known to happen.

Hopefully that is the case and he'll return.

My chat log with seth is over a thousand messages.
This wasn't only keyboard related.
I considered him a friend.
This is not just being worried about getting **** delivered

He claims having no time to deliver orders, but he has plenty of time for playing around

They have no business in conducting business if they cannot fulfill their obligations. You're taking people's money. Even if that money wasn't used to buy other stuff, the very least he should be doing is fulfilling orders.

Some things come up is all I'm saying.

If he returns and fulfills orders, then hopefully he's learned that it's too much for him to handle.

Again, I just hope it's that and everyone gets their ****, that's all.
