[IC] Single GMK Keys

So I've read that GMK have significantly lowered their MOQs on standard colours to 150 now (from 250) - I feel that this lowered MOQ means that some GBs might now be possible that were not possible under the old system.

There are always a couple of keys here and there that I wish I had - was just wondering if anyone had ideas on GMK caps that they would like made?

My idea for this is that it would be a GB for a select couple of keys - not an entire mod set or kit like RGB or CMYW

Please post your suggestions in the following format:

Size / row / key color / legend color / legend / Other

e.g.

1.75 / 3 / black / white / Ctrl / windowed, stepped

Also, please mention briefly why you want this key to be made and who would it serve e.g. 75% users, OG doubleshot users etc

If requesting blank keys please put the legend colour and legend as "-"

Also, I've included a photo of available GMK colours below as a point of reference - feel free to use these colour codes or simply colour names in your suggestions

Unfortunately I don't think that GMK has the molds for these legends

One of the great things that comes from GMK's limited colour palettte is that they tend to complement each other very well

You should probably be able to get a purple spacebar from ctrlalt when they put JTK up on the store

One thing to think about is people wanting extra shift keys for the split spacebar customs that are everywhere ATM. It's normally both fulls sized shift keys and a 1.25u, I'd like to buy some blank kits with those keys in any colors.

Another set of people who might be interested are FC660 owners who wants matching shifts.

For me I REALLY want a cyan on purple enter key to match the esc key that was a bonus in the Hyperfuse GB <3 I'd probably buy any pack of keys in that color way TBH!

Wasn't so much novelties but doing a non stepped and stepped control key for one specific keyset is going to be killer.
I don't wanna end up footing the bill for 100 stepped r3 control keys for no one to buy them

Yeah the purple caps are dope!

For the 660 I didn't specifically mean HyperFuse shifts. Just in general; 660 GMK users will probably pick up a pair of shift keys (in any colorway) to get some accented symmetry going on. With anything other than a 'single key GB' it would be really pricey to get a hold of a pair of matching shifts    You are right though - how many of those 660 weirdos be out here?!


EDIT: Ohh, I'd really like to have a R1 backslash 1u key for hyperfuse! It's the only thing missing for a perfect HHKB layout...

What about Fn or Code keys? Joker sounds interesting but if you're looking for the greatest audience its best to go more generic/useful I'd suggest.. Is there a list anywhere of their legends they have available? It'd be cool to get some cool colourway/quirky text keys.

I don't think we'd get the numbers if the cost of adding front print to relegendables brings it up to the same price point that was in SKIDATA+

I think a starting point would be a set of 15 relegendables with R/G/B/Clear tops (Or CMY, Hyperfuse colors, whatever). I don't know how much the tops would end up costing relative to the keys though.

Nah, I the legends are way too small/thin on that set. Even the white on black is unreadable.
I think the black legends could work quite well but I would need to visualize it to be sure.

6,25x white gmk spacebar!

I'm sure a lot of people need this one because they have a bsp set or an OG cherry set. 

Also GMK UN0001 (white) on N5 (electric blue) R3 Home and R4 End key to complete the GMK Electric Bluegaloo set for 75% adaptability.

I'm late to this IC but I've been thinking it would be cool to run a buy for F+J scoops for some popular sets that would match the mod kits. White-on-red for GMK Red Alert, Cyan-on-grey/cyan/purple for Hyperfuse, Black/grey-on-orange for Skidata. I never see boards styled that way and I think F+J keys that stand out look great.

I'm actually starting to get into GMK sets just now. This GB sounds good. Definitly in for some code keys or anything with colors that will look good with Skidata.

Could you give some examples of individual keys you wish you had? Personally, I only really eye complete sets, but I'm open to anything really.

I'm thinking along the lines of accent keys like those included in Hyperfuse, Ivan's Dolch and so forth. Obviously these are just examples and we'd have to run them by their respective designers first if we chose to go with those colors

This is very nice indeed! but it would be more appropriate for a mod or moggle kit, maybe not suitable for this GB theme? in any case if this happens I will support it :D

Thanks for all the feedback so far - I've got to talk to heedpantsnow a bit about this as he wants to run some blanks but at this point I think JOKER and CODE keys are definite contenders

Maybe some enter keys as well but we'll see how it goes - I want to keep it as affordable as possible

Yeah, I've got a few myself but none to match my Classic Beige sets.

One of the reasons that encourage me to build a custom was the motivation to use my classic beige set as it is with no adapters of any kind, now I am very happy with my full set on my sixty board.

Shipping - you'd pay a premium to get everything shipped to Australia, and then another premium to ship it back out to the rest of the world.

A US distributor would make a lot of sense.

I'm just waiting to hear back from GMK on Cherry logo keycaps

Right now it will be something similar to an Esc pack with a bunch of different colours to match existing sets.
I'm also hoping to see if they can do it in a R4 or R5 profile but that will probably be a separate pack

I'm still going through which colours to use but I am aiming to support most major sets that have run recently and some general accent colours that should complement most keysets nicely
