Greetings!
« on: Mon, 14 December 2015, 11:57:31 »
Greetings, Geekhackers!

It's great to join your community of keyboard enthusiasts. I lived the life of out-of-the-box Dell quiet keyboards for decades until the CTO of my company introduced me to the world of mechanical keyboards. I've not gone back since. Currently I rock my Realforce Topre 104 with my Black and Gold "Bruins" layout, and I couldn't be happier.

I look forward to contributing to the forum and learning from you all.

Welcome to Geekhack!

That's a fantastic keyboard!  Normally I prefer `~ and \| t be the same colour as the alphas (yellow in your case), but that layout just seems to work!

Btw there is a thread for pirctures of Topre keyboards - feel free to spread the joy :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
