HHKB Shift and Enter-key discolouration.
« on: Sun, 17 January 2016, 15:33:21 »
Not sure in what category that belongs, but I'll just post it here, move it to keycaps if you like.

Did anyone here ever noticed the slight discolouration of the left Shift and enter/retuen key in comparison to the others (except the space bar) on the black HHKB Pro 2? These keys are the only 2 in that same size and where probably made in the same mold, probably just due to production, but I'm curios, has anyone here a explanation for that? Its hard to make out under normal circumstances, but if you point at it with a strong flashlight or photograph it with flash, it becomes clearly visible.

Here is a (really crappy) photo taken with flash, you can clearly see that the 2 mentioned keys (again, the left shift and the enter key) have a slightly different colour, also of course the space bar since it is made of ABS.

I can't say I've heard anyone else comment about discolourations on their white HHKB's... Maybe a soak in isopropyl? definitely a first in general.

It's really hard to judge what you're talking about with this photo.
