looking for a good time online.
« on: Thu, 04 February 2016, 15:57:30 »
i just can't seem to find any. if anybody knows where i can find some please let me know.

i'm a 23 year old guy living out of his mom's basement in california (this is a joke [there are no basements in california, and i live with my dad]). i wasn't much of a keyboard enthusiast until i stumbled upon 2 1987 ibm model m ssk's at a yard sale that i picked up for 2 bucks each. since then, i've grown to love them dearly and each machine gun twang that comes from them is a reminder that there are still good aspects to life. i like watching visual mediums and i enjoy listening to sound. i especially like it when the visuals and sounds are done in a way that are pleasing to my brain. aside from that there really isn't much to me, but if you have any questions, ask away. i'll answer them perfect and honestly. scounts honor.

Hi! I remember when I would visit 'flea markets' or yard sales and see Model M keyboards everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Sadly, those were my waterproof silicone keyboard days. Nice find. I love your profile pic btw, very much Rat Fink.   :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!

Not one, but two, SSKs for $2

Many luck!

Apart from getting yourself an HHKB, it's all downhill from here :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
