Most have been for color swaps.  I think it's common to enter for several in hopes of getting your top colorway choice as well.  It's nice to trade ETF for ETF, though.  Or sell for a no-loss price.  But yeah, the insta-flippers are disheartening when so many people would have loved to win those caps.

A lot of people put their whole collection up in their trading posts so that they can see what offers come in, even if they never actually trade them.

A lot of existing artisan owners will only sell for trades, not cash, so new artisan seekers have to win raffles then trade to get the other artisans they want.

I put up for trade the 2/5 colorways that I wasn't that into.
I see a majority wanted color swaps as well. Not a lot of gouging that I've seen.

ETF has been doing pretty much only blind bag raffles recently to get people to trade/swap for the items they want.  I'm sure some people are entering for trade fodder but there is no realistic way to prevent that.

I got a single keycap in this raffle, which is all I really wanted. And it was the colorway I was expecting to have to trade for: Submarine Yellow. That's pretty damn lucky IMO. Take whatever the odds were of getting into and multiply that by 1/12 to get that one, specific colorway. Not quite goldbag lucky, but pretty gosh darn lucky! Couldn't be happier!
