Hello geekhack!
Finally joined as a member, though I've been stumbling upon geekhack topics for quite a while. New here, but not so new with quality keyboards - I've had my 1988 Model M for over 20 years.
I have a preference for great typist's keyboards and can't understand the current market with loads of horrible looking and feeling keyboards with Cherry Red/Black/Brown switches. Linear switches remind me of the horror of trying to touch type on an Atari STE. Also, since the M is my reference, I really like grainy PBT key caps. And clicks, oh yes.
Currently I've got the said Model M in disuse mainly because of the overwhelming beigeness, but also a bit of fatigue from the heavy action. I'll go back to it again, I'm sure. In use, I've got a Ducky G2 Pro TKL PBT side-print with MX Blues at home, Ducky G2 Pro PBT with MX Browns and O-rings at work. Sadly missing in action, Matias Quiet Pro PC - hands down the best non-click keyboard I've ever used before it broke down. It was much nicer switch-wise than the Browns, but I'll survive with the Ducky for now.
Things on the want list: PBT dye sub key caps for Matias in Nordic layout - would get a Tactile Pro with these, for sure. Yet to try a Topre as well, though I suspect I might not be a fan since I don't really like MX Browns that are equally light. A 55g Topre, maybe, if they were available but they're all gone now.
