Hey hey, kids... another keyboard clown checking in...

...I have always liked mechanical keyboards, but I had no idea that there was a full-blown hobby surrounding them until I decided to research buying a Unicomp and found this place. I wound up buying the Spacesaver model and I love it almost as much as my 'real' Model M. The trouble is, I kept on hanging around here and learned about the Model F... could it really be even better?? I decided to roll the dice and bought one of these:

(Please tell me that is indeed a Model F XT and I didn't make a foolish noob mistake in my haste??)

In any case, I think I'm hooked...

Many thanks for what appears to be a fine community with a mind-blowing amount of knowledge!

Welcome to the forum.  In my opinion, the Model F is one of the best switches out there, after Topre :D.

Be sure to read over the site TOS when you get a chance.

Ah, buckling spring keyboards.  I have only 5 so far.  All Model M.

A Model F is definitely on my list, but preferably with a few more keys than the older models ;)
