A4Tech/Bloody Light Strike 2 IR switch -> ft. Bloody B850 keyboard
« on: Thu, 01 September 2016, 09:08:26 »
Hi everyone, been missing out on this forum for a long time

Long story short, I own the Bloody B540 with Greetech blacks I bought from Indonesia. Was wondering if they would release anything new, then came the Light strike (IR switch).

I had my friend bring over one from china ($78) with the Light Strike 2 switch. The model in question is the B850.

First impressions I have, tried them for like 15 mins in my friend's house.

The switch has an MX stem, red backlight (depends on model), and seems to be PCB mounted (there is a top cover that you can take off I think, philips and hex screw).

Switch seems to be similar (if not better) than the MX Blue or Razer Green. As such, you can expect the feel to be similar.

Differences between Light Strike and Light Strike 2 is probably the click feedback/sound.

Anyways, I haven't thought of a method to review this Keyboard to geekhack standard. Let me know what you want me to test and I'll do that once I get home and take it out of the box.

Note that I cannot disassemble the keyboard due to warranty purposes.

Cheers.
