Is superglue fine to use on PBT?

Hi,

I've got this artisan keycap that has no stem (don't ask), and I bought some superglue (Loctite) from Walmart, hoping to put a Topre stem from a blank PBT keycap on it. Will it work or will the super glue melt the PBT or something? I've heard it's fine for most plastics, but I just wanted to ask around. Thanks!

I have glued a few Cherry PBT stems inside PBT keycaps. Centring the stem correctly is difficult.

Superglue does not melt anything that I know of but the fumes makes clear plastic foggy, maybe also make glossy plastic matte.

It's probably fine, but I'd do a test on an extra keycap first.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I applied it on an artisan keycap which is made of resin, and the PBT stem, and so far things are fine. There's just a bit of white residue, probably due to the superglue drying and turning white. But so far, so good. =)
