USB dongle that emulates keyboard and mouse??
« on: Sun, 11 December 2016, 18:56:39 »
I have a linux system functioning as a Synergy server...sharing its keyboard and mouse with an iMac.

However, the iMac automatically launches it's bluetooth keyboard wizard whenever it comes out of sleep...since there is not keyboard present.  So, I am looking for a USB dongle that will emulate a keyboard and mouse, so that I don't have to keep shutting down the bluetooth wizard (nor having to hang a keyboard and mouse off of the iMac).

Why don't you try with a Teensy or a clone with TMK or Soarer on it ?

I had a similar problem with my FreeNAS server starting up. The motherboard I used had to have a keyboard connected for it to boot otherwise it gets stuck on a "Keyboard cannot be found screen". I got around it by buying one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005GB31PE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It thinks that there is a wireless keyboard attached and boots into FreeNAS straight away for me now. Very useful when I am doing remote reboots of the server.
