So about that G80-3600 with Mx Reds I was gonna buy.

While passing through Akihabara today (on my way to Sapporo), found an amazing deal on some G80-3600's LYCEU-0.

¥3980!

T-Zone was the shop.

Unfortunately only in white and in a Japanese layout, the deal was too awesome to pass up (Reg. ¥11000, though usually about ¥8000).

Too bad I can't use it for 10 days.

Holy crap congratulations on the find! That's a steal for any board with NKRO, much less this one.

My reaction exactly when I found it. The black was still the usual ~¥8000.

Right before I picked one up, a clerk brought a stack of them over.

I also picked up an NIB mouse from 1992 (junk pile for ¥520). Bought it for lulz.
Forgot to take pics so I'll take some after I get back to Ueda on Feb. 15.

Man that is a great deal.  It is almost worth that just for the switches, cherry reds are so rare in the US, you could take any cherry board and transplant the switches into it, like get a cheap MX11900 and transplant the reds into it.. drool!

EDIT:  Oh wait.  I forgot that reds are black stems with blue/brown springs.  Hm. I guess you could get a MX11900 and tranplant some brown springs into it too.. heh

I used to think that if I lived in Japan, I wouldn't have to spend as much money on keyboards. Now, I don't think that's true. I would just be buying more with the same amount of money...

A masochist is someone who says "hurt me, hurt me, please!"
A sadist is someone who replies, "No."
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

I think you just invented the sado-pacifist.
