Opinions on an unnamed project inspired by the Banana Split.
« on: Mon, 17 April 2017, 13:45:22 »
I've already posted this over to Reddit (and by accident in the wrong forum here), but I'm curious about what all of you think about this layout that I've been toying with.

Concepts that I was working around: 1) Has arrow keys, 2) split spacebar with easy reach to space, backspace and delete keys, 3) keys useful for Linux users/programmers including pgUp, pgDown, Home and End included, 4) Comfortable for gaming, 5) Dvorak users (such as myself) don't need the z key displaced.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

So I've made a minor update. I switched the Backspace to be 2.25u, and made the Delete key 1u in order to make the delete key staggered and match up with the rest of the keyboard design better. I also took into account where (at least) my fingers rest on a standard spacebar, so that hopefully the least amount of miss-presses occur on the Delete key.
