I'm very new to things like this and have no idea where to start...like a 5yr old thats used QMK before on other boards? ...or like a 5yr old that doesnt have a "build environment" set up for compiling the needed .hex file to flash to the board? The latter

You can probably just follow along the QMK documentation... however it seems to be hit or miss if you have windows10 if the built in linux kernel for something like Ubuntu will work. I personally went with MSYS2... but i'll be honest, I tend to try and do as much as possible using GUI tools like easyavr or just recently starting to get a successful build using the beta online configuration tool: http://config.qmk.fm/
cd /mnt/c/QMKmake converter/usb_usb:Andrew

So, I acquired a built kit from Reddit, and it showed up with the front plastic piece broken. How in the world do I go about getting it replaced?
Everything you have said in the past has been false so I will keep my hope.

How in the world do I go about getting it replaced?I'm in the same boat as you, my acrylic front diffuser is also broken. I have contacted Elton quite a few times already, and he told me twice he's going to ask Duck about it, but I have yet to hear back.
if you want to get the diffuser cut yourself, you can download the .dwg from kbdlab here

Does LSV3 support switch top removal?
Quote from: buzzking00 on Wed, 07 November 2018, 19:38:21Does LSV3 support switch top removal? No but I uploaded a .dxf file for a plate which will support switch top removal earlier in the thread. You may have to modify it for your preferred layout.
