Interest Check for SlowBro80

Google Form for those interested

I have been in touch with user Greatfirewall from Geekhack who designed the SlowBro80 keyboard.

Imgur Album: https://imgur.com/a/NtY1m

Greatfirewall has already run 2 GroupBuys in China via Taobao.  I approached him about buying a single board but he asked if I'd be willing to see if anyone else in the US/North America would want a board as well to save on shipping costs.

Pricing

Still TBD based on the total # of boards that are sold / shipping costs

- Keyboard Kit: Acrylic = $50  ||| Carbon Fiber = $100
    - Includes:
       - PCB w/ Pre-soldered controller "Kimera Core"
       - Sandwich plates & Screws
       - Diodes & Resistors
       - Optional Assembly = $25 (no switches included)
- Shipping CN→Me: TBD
   - (If at least 5 people order we should be around $10-15 / board)
- Shipping Me→You: $15-20

Rough estimate puts us at ~$90+ depending on your options.  These numbers will become more solid once we gauge how much interest there is for this.

Layout Options

There are 4 different layout options that change the bottom row keysizes and backspace placement

There is also a choice between 10 macro keys on the left or not as well:

With Macros

Without Macros

The PCB is the same, it just allows for the macros to be snapped off if you don't want them

Fill out this Google Form if you are interested & to provide feedback on layout options / case options

Pretty damn interested, especially if the shipped price is sub 100. I'm just a little concerned that the angle is too aggressive. Any photos/videos of it in use?

The angle is 155° if you want to try and emulate it at home.

I don't have any photos of it in use. Sorry.

Im excited for this. Quick question, arw the diodes and resistors in the kit through hole like other kits, or are they smt? I will probably get a carbon fiber kit, without the macros on the left.

I would more be interested in a atreus style layout with that kimera core presoldered :d, they also made those a while back.
I just prefer columnar stagger or grid for an ergo keyboard..

I’m wondering why they cant solder diodes aswell?
