This guy actually has more than just one. I've seen his auctions before but I don't believe this thing is of any practical use.

That's pretty cool looking.   And it matches my semi-Otaku Space Saving Mini.  Must have one!!

It's an interesting gimmick, but little more. It's definitely designed as mouse first, trackball second, and then the mouse is shaped somewhat awkwardly. Also, the cable is short.

At that price, just about anything is worth it.

Seller either gouges on shipping to Canada or intentionally uses a more expensive service and refuses to go cheaper. Whichever it is, on that basis and the quality of responses I got when I inquired about USPS First Class, I recommend against this seller.

However, CH is right, at that price it's worth a shot. MW has one of them and seems to like it.

I'd rather buy one locally, although, the ergonomy of that thing doesn't look all that great (short cord? The apple hockey puck mouse must have been influenced by that thing). Very strange for an IBM product I must say. But interesting at the same time. Flip it upsidedown and you have a trackball! Oooohhh....

Note the system it's designed for...the portable PS/2. It's the precursor to today's laptop mice and considering that it's actually pretty well designed.

I have one - got it a few week ago. It works for about 10 seconds after being plugged in and then dies. If I unplug it and plug it back it does not work, however when I put it away and try it after a while it works again. I think it's a hardware problem. Can anybody suggest what it could be?

I have one of those Trackpoint L40's and I use it with my laptops. It's a great little mouse.
