Just to be clear, any implication that I'm somehow not grateful would be the result of a misinterpretation...I am indeed grateful for the efforts that went into this and still are in arranging the shipping and so forth.

Perhaps a better way for me to voice what I'm trying to say is this:

Members who bought more than one set should be willing to consider reselling (at the rate they paid, perhaps plus the "next-hop" shipping) to deserving veteran members if any have missed out and a second batch will not happen.

Like I said I think it'd be awesome to see a second batch happen, but if ultimately this is the last of this particular variety of key(cap) which is made...

I bought three.  One for a sick dude.  One for an Paypal refugee. You don't get the last one.

I bought three for much the same reason. Some European Geekhackers sleep at night.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

I agree with webwit.  This is a great test and should help other members, such as ClickClack, judge demand.

Already offered both my extra sets to members who missed out - at no charge (if they're in the US just for the sake of logistics). If not in the US, I guess that's OK, too. Just hope nobody complains if they get held up in customs.

Deserving & veteran? Who am I to decide?

It was just a test. If you can't type in "I want one", set your alarm, go to bed, wake up, click on "Post Quick Reply" and go to sleep again to have sweet dreams about your new geekhack cap, you failed to proof how much you want it.

For the next test, I propose starting at 11 AM Central European Time, which will be very convenient for Europe and 2 to 5 am for the Americans:

Americans will stand outside a Best Buy at 3am, the day after thanksgiving to get $50 off a $2000 tv they can't afford.  I don't think it will be a problem.

Anyway, I'm glad for sixty they sold so quickly. And it is a nice test/show of demand for anyone else considering this stuff.

First of all, I don't let my computer turned on all night. Second, a different time could have been chosen... maybe midnight EST? Thirdly, waking up in the middle of the night is not my favorite past time. Getting up at six and going to work, probably has something to do with it.

Cheers,
SainT

Ceiling duck is watching you procrastinate...

I bet these caps would bump up the prices of ebayed keyboards significantly. I hope we don't see Geekhack Special Limited Edition Fujitsu Peerless boards flooding the market.

As expressed by others, sixty can certainly dictate the sale however he wants.

An idea would be to have everyone prepay for a second run...thus eliminating the risk for sixty and allowing everyone time to order.

Also, remember that there are some cool keycaps coming from clickclack.

If a geekhack member sells their keycap on a keyboard they ought to be banned indefinitely...

IMHO, of course.

Edit for clarity: TO A NON-GEEKHACKER.

Based on your many "I'd never pay $xxx for that" posts I find it hard to believe you'd shell out $9.99 for two keys.
