I mean the whole point of this board is to be for alps. There are plenty of other MX 65%'s

Beautiful curves!

Curious about the town in the background, looks idyllic from a distance.

Great project! I'm sort of getting into alps right now but this might push me off the deep end. I'm kind of curious about the layout support. You mention split space support but that the case will only support one layout. Does this not include split space? Is split space only limited to the PCB?

On the subject of the PCB - would it possibly be compatible with the M65? I think there might be issues with the USB port, but it would be cool to see how AEK caps look on that board as well.

From my understanding, there are 2 plates, each will support 1 layout so you will get the version with the layout you choose. This is great cuz it means the plate will be much more solid. The pcb will support  2 layouts.

There will be two top chassis designs, each with their respective layout (single vs split spacebar).
As for compatibility with other chassis, I cannot guarantee anything since I don't own them to test-fit or measure.

Sweet! Looking forward to it.  ;D

I have an M65 so I'd be willing to test fit the PCB for you if you'd like. I think I can get a custom plate cut, as well.

The board looks amazing. Too bad about the lack of QMK. I’m guessing you’re on Windows? On a Mac, there are no driver issues, and flashing takes less than a second. At least it does on the command line. I don’t mess with that hex file stuff.

I saw on the reddit post that there would be a QMK pcb available: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/95nq9c/lunar_aek_65_launching_this_week/e3uhing/

Alright, so I had planned to launch this week but my computer decided to brick itself and I have a backlog of work that is starting to pile up. On top of that, I'm organizing things with factories in China and don't really have a proper internet connection.

Launch will most likely be moved over to early next week or so, depending on when I can get a hold of a proper internet connection and an iso for Windows.

Time and date will be announced once I get pricing up which should be sometime this week.

Not having internet for a week basically threw my schedule off the rails. I'll need to update all the projects that are currently running when I arrive back in the states and get everything cleaned up.

Not limited to one per person, but orders need to be placed separately. These will be packaged like SPFS (custom cut foam) so they will be shipped individually.

Also might be worth noting, but final PCBs will be QMK as requested by a large number of people. PCBs will be fully assembled and not sold as blanks like in this pic. Soldermask will also be white and not green.

Those are the samples for grey. It's a medium/light grey, but the light messes with the color a little.

Yeah, order confirmation I received of course.
I was more refering to the email list you automatically get subscribed to according to the order site. I thought that maybe an email would go out in the style of „hey, GB has concluded, cool see ya!“. :)
So was not refering to a specific email and was just wondering, if anybody received something like that.

Thanks for the quick update! Deal with life first, then with keyboards! :) But just FYI, without wanting to stress you (!!):  Small updates like that are really appreciated from you, even if they don‘t contain a lot of information. This way, we know that things are moving!

What kind of ALPS are you guys planning on using? I have some SKCL greens, but not sure yet if I want to go with linears. I also got some Oranges on the way, pretty excited for those!
