Seriously, it looked like warakawa was going to become at least a full time, if slightly strange, member with valid input or something like that.

Maybe we killed that possibility with taking the threads (those created by warakawa) and doing what normally happens here...O/T stuff. Banhammer is coming if only because of the effort iMav will need to exert to go and delete the posts...I wouldn't put up with that crap.

Well, since NOBODY got the quiz right in my "Raj Avatar Tribute Post" let me just say Debra Winger was awesome in Rachel Gets Married.

Yeah, see, the problem is it would have involved looking at the video of and possibly (shudder) listening to that goddamn song.  I completely burned out on it back in the 80s, (what, 1987?) when you couldn't go five minutes without hearing it, and I still have all the antibodies in my system.

He's either the purest troll I've seen in a while or he's completely clueless and thinks he's gotten banned for a China-first mindset. He got his ass banned for being extremely abusive to at least one GH member.

When I get into conversations with guys like this, I really wonder if we were meeting in real life that I'd be stomping on the head of a 12 year old or if it'd appear that I was picking on a socially inept guy with no friends and nothing going for him. I wouldn't do either and I try to keep this in mind online, but the second someone starts being really abusive to someone else, it's another story.

I kinda agree with you here, but he did go over the line in two ways. He was personally abusive to another member and after he got banned he came right back and continued being doing things to intentionally be disruptive.

If he's just a kid (and the simplicity of his assertions and lack of continuity in his arguments suggest that he very well may be a kid) I'm all for letting him be if he doesn't call another member a "****ing racist ****."

If he's just here to create disruptions, I'm all for banning the guy. Letting one party obstruct everything else isn't democracy. It's the Republican party of America.

No, he wasn't. I was suggesting that he may have been a pure troll meaning that he was all troll and nothing else... but a master at anything... no.

Anyway, I used to call this one BBS years ago where the sysop had coded a random line noise generator that he'd flip on for any user who was really obnoxious and he wanted to stop calling. The trolls never lasted long. Their final post usually looked something like this:

I don't think he was banned for being abusive to some member, we had all fun with that part. He got kicked only after bumping like 50 threads from 2007 in 20 minutes with mindless bull**** comments, turning the board into a mess. I guess that's why iMav deleted all his posts too.

I know it usually happens when you get asswipes from the midwest sitting in their PJ's until 2 in the afternoon trolling videogame or tech forums, but I usually never see it here. Truth is, I like some of the trolls. I think webwit is a smart and stand up guy. Many people have bought stuff from him and he has given a lot of stuff away for free. He has strong and sometimes not popular opinions, and he seems to have bad days, but the guy has balls. That is a trait that used to count for more here in America ...

So no, I'd never ban or ignore him because if you look past what his wording, there is a certain logic which I find appealing.
