Hey, Geekhack friends,
Today I am here with an Interest Check : The Nutcracker.(was originally named ‘the nuts’ whoops)
The GB will be going LIVE on November 27, 2018 00:00, GMT +8 (aka Singapore time), which is in about 10 hours. The GB will be posted on both GH  and r/mm.

It is a switch opener with a unique and simple design, prototype just finished by today:

Right part is a cover.(In case you dropped the opener from table and damage the "teeth")

MX Testing video:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BqPsftqnkXP/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

Kailh Testing video:(updated 18th Nov)

https://www.instagram.com/p/BqSYIldn3Zd/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

Specifications:
1. Made with aluminium.

2. CNC processed and anodized.

Colors:
Black, Blue and Sliver

Price:
est around $20USD++     included shipping(still looking for the budget and reliable courier, also depends on moq and quote from cnc factory)

Why i did this?
1. I don't believe that the 3D printed one can last quite long.
2. I need lube every switch for my personal use.(Vintage Black, ergo clear, zealios stem in cherry housing and etc)
3. I need it TBH:)

Thanks:)

Edit: added that Kailh opener is a separate one

Edit 1:The GB will be going LIVE on November 27, 2018 00:00, GMT +8 (aka Singapore time), which is in about 10 hours. The GB will be posted on both GH  and r/mm .

To shorten the lead time for this GB, we currently have 400 Nutcrackers already in production: 300 MX and 100 Kailh (box switch compatible).

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181126/ef9e9d1fbf152d8ccf5a4f43d02f94c8.jpg

These 400(300+100) will go on a FCFS basis when the GB goes live.

But, have no fear, if orders exceed beyond the 300 MX and 100 Kailh, we will produce more. Please buffer an additional 2 - 3 weeks lead time for this.

Thank you for reading!

Sure why not? Sick of that stupid screwdriver method and I hate paying like $11 after shipping for 3d printed plastic.

Seems like a cool gizmo, I'd get one.
One for Kailh box isn't really necessary. You can open them without a tool faster than mx with a tool.
