Well, someone put the floss idea in my head, and I'm glad that it's still a mod that people seem to like.

I'm still an SSK and AT-F fan, but now I'm having fun with Cherry MX boards again.

Ordered a Pegasus Hoof controller. Still looking for plate (even though I'm on the list for a SS one), and any other mods for a Filco TKL?

I have the stock plate, but I was hoping for something a little nicer. I just want some practice desoldering switches, modifying switches etc.....

Figured that someone might have a WFD plate laying around collecting dust? Or a Phantom plate.

Thanks though ....... I may just re-use the stock plate if nothing turns up.

Awesome!! Thanks!! Exactly what I want!! I'm a little confused as to how the switches can be opened with this plate? Do the switches sit differently than on the stock Filco plate? Is a different means of opening up the switch?

If you look closely at the switch holes, you will notice that they aren't squares, like the standard holes on your Filco plate. They have an area on the left and right sides removed, so that the tabs that hold the switch housing together can be opened enough to let them release from the bottom of the housing.

Ya know.......I just tested this out on the Beast Poker plate with the ultra cool Beast tools. I get it!! EVERY plate should allow switch top exchanging!! Very cool.....

Someone here must have some sitting in a drawer. I mean.......who wouldn't feel "forced" to use that pretty KMAC 2 plate?

I'd like to have both plate and pcb mount options for my KMAC 2.

Looking for some Nixdorf blacks if anyone has some for sale? Hopefully there are some entire PCBs with these switches floating around?

I think we need to find someone skilled enough to manufacture a small GB run of the wooden Ergodox palm rests. I'd love one too but they were made as a one off. Such a shame as they really are beautiful.

We have a LOT of talented wood workers who could handle the task. I would love a set in black walnut or purpleheart or some other beautiful wood. Maybe a nice burl!!!

Its not necessarily about having the skills, more about having the time.

The original person was kerplop (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=47887.0). I have asked if he would make any more, but he says he's not interested. Its a shame, as I changed my job 6 months ago and had access to a full workshop and a joiner who could make almost anything out of wood!

I might be willing to part with mine. The last few times I've used it my right wrist has started hurting. I hate to part with it because it's such a beauty, but I'd rather it have a good home.

Mahogany with satin polyurethane finish, 13 degree tilt, with 4 rubber feet per side for stability.

And BTW, I update my WTB section. Looking for something else now for friend's son. A Ducky full sized board with MX Browns. Could trade straight up or with money on my end added for a never used (but not exactly new) Ducky Shine Zero with MX Blues.

Or actually any nice full sized board with MX Browns and LEDs would do ..... but I'm not sure what else there is out there?
