Group Buy Rules and Guidelines:

I will ship to CONUS only, and also Hawaii and Alaska. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska if you pay the difference (PM me your zip code). Sorry, but I will not be shipping internationally due to customs, figuring out postage, foreign transaction fees etc.
Since this is unlike a SP Group Buy - you will know your total when you figure out what you want to buy.
** To order: please post here AND PM me with your order and email address. I will respond with my PayPal and confirm your total. **
If we get a 5% discount on something after you pay, I will issue a partial refund via PayPal once everything is totaled up.
** Please put your order in AND pay by 11:59 PM CST, Sunday, January 29, 2012. I want to turn this around pretty quickly given that it's not an ordinary SP Group Buy. **

Pricing:

$3.00 CONUS First Class. I dcalculated postage to some sample zip codes and most were in the $2.XX range. To keep things simple, I will round up to $3.00.
(HI and AK residents please PM me and I will figure this out for you.)
$0.85 Delivery Confirmation.
$0.50 Bubble Mailer. Will be using 6x9 Bubble Mailers for everyone. This should fit all orders (so far...) with keycap pullers.
$0.30 PP Flat rate.
$1.00 ** KCO Shipping to Me (see post #56)
If anyone wants to upgrade to flat rate box shipping, you can do so for additional $1.00. Please tell me when you order or I will assume First Class bubble mailers.

Total Flat Fee for everyone: $5.65

In addition, 2.9% of your order total+shipping will be calculated and added to your Shipping and Handling costs to accommodate for PP.

I am using a conversion rate of approx. UK£ 1.00 = 1.5615 U.S. dollars when converting prices on the Keyboard Company to USD.

Looks like we have enough to get an official group buy started. I will sit down and try to get more exact numbers tonight when I get home. But for now I am thinking about taking orders until 11:59PM this Sunday, January 29. I will then tally everything and place the order with Keyboardco on Monday morning.

People have gotten their accounts locked/shut down for receiving too many gifts during a short period of time. I've seen it happen more than once. That is why I would prefer that people send me payment via goods and not gift.

And also, no one here would have any course of action against me if I ran away with all your gifts

You might want to consider Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelopes. The envelopes are free (order online, they aren't available at the post office), delivery confirmation is included in priority mail postage if you purchase online, the flat rate includes AK/HI, and the postage is $5.10 if you buy it online. (Damn, it went up since I last looked. Guess it isn't cheaper. Might still be cheaper for AK/HI.)

Yeah, I thought about Priority, but calculated it would be $1-2 cheaper to do First Class, depending on location. Didn't know they had Flat Rate Padded Mailers though. And yeah - postage went up this week

So being my first GB I've run and all... I made quite the boneheaded mistake of leaving out KCO shipping to Me. Unfortunately, that means I have to modify the shipping structure. Fortunately, I did a large sample order and it came out to roughly $18-20 - which split among everyone should not be much. If you all don't mind, I will charge $1.00 extra to anyone that has not received an Order Summary from me yet. Also, I will use any 5% discounts we get to cover that. If we are still short, I will cover the rest... which HOPEFULLY shouldn't be much, if anything at all. Sorry everyone!

For those that have received an Order Summary already, consider it an Early Bird "Special".

You really would save yourself a ton of hassle if you used the Small Flat Rate boxes. If you print online postage its $5 and the box/DC is included. It also protects the caps better. I've seen a handful of bubble mailers ruin keycaps...especially the thin ones. Printing all the postage online also saves you a TON of time. You can queue them all up in a batch and pay/print them all at once.

Point noted. But I already have the padded mailers + First Class is ~$1.30 cheaper for everyone. I guess if anyone wants to get their keys shipped by flat rate, they can pay the extra $1.30 or whatever it comes out to be and let me know. I will add some padding of some sort to the mailers though to give them a little depth so the keys don't directly come in contact with anything... not easily anyway. I've used and received mailers (even for multiple Clacks) and everything turned out okay.

Edit: If anyone wants to upgrade to flat rate box shipping, you can do so for $1.00. Please tell me when you order or I will assume First Class bubble mailers.

Just paid for the order and was informed by Keyboard Company that the order will ship today!

They were also generous enough to offer us a 20% discount on everything!!!

Once I calculate in expenses that I originally left off (international shipping) - there should be some $ leftover. For those that participated in this buy, what do you want me to do with the leftover funds?

Haha, unfortunately they can only do 5-10% on keyboards depending on how many is ordered of one type. Margin is higher on keycaps and accessories + they don't have to sort and ship out to 20 international address, only 1 - hence the freedom for the discount. Otherwise I would have extended the buy and included keyboards. One can wish. :angel:

We have about a thousand of these at work: almost any small component that's gotten under warranty to fix a laptop comes in one (for example Lenovo X220 tablet displays fail a not, and they put the stickers to cover the screws in one)

Walmart sells the weedbags for like $2 per 100 in the fabric/crafts area. I use them to for packing single keycaps for buyers.

Bummer though, I think that the red of the Esc is slightly different than the WASD keys. Both are Filcos, but it seems to be the case. Not sure if they're all like that.
