Sticker and Lube
« on: Fri, 26 September 2014, 16:48:51 »
I've got  my handy 50k traxxis from the local RC shop for lubing Rubix cubes.   I'm thinking it should be spectacular for cherries on Poker arrival day.

The part I'm not entirely clear on is the sticker part of "sticker and lube".

Can someone enlighten me?

I've got an aluminum case and I'm ordering some silicone balls and rings from imsto for a trampoline/ring mod also.

Anything else I should be thinking about on this keyboard or can I start thinking about a custom gon and cherry clears , matias quiet click or torpres?

Keyboard error F1 to continue.

Poker 2, Gherkin, Lets Split, Planck, Filco

Stickers are small plastic pieces that you place inside your switch to decrease the wiggle of the slider. Although the difference is hardly noticeable
Very busy with studies atm.

Yeah, stickers are supposed to act like a gasket and reduce the play between the upper and lower switch housings.  This has been discussed before but I personally do it for the aesthetic:

'looks better with clear switch top covers though:

On lubing, please check out the Cherry MX Switch Lubrication Guide: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=34332.0

Happy modding! :thumb:

Where do we get those clear switch tops

They're from AboStudio and were part of a group buy.

There was a group buy but being in Asia, I had to order from abostudio directly.

There's an interest check for Round 3: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=58968.0

They're also currently available on Techkeys.
