I would like to present to you GMK Apollo, a keyset that I have been working on for some time now.

Inspired by the Apollo missions, this keyset revolves around the moon. It pays homage to the greats of the past and looks towards the future of space travel. I tried my best to incorporate the colors of the moon and the dark sky into this set with three Pantone colors serving as the alphas, modifiers and accent keys.


Group Buy will start Feb 25th and end March 25th. Save the date!

Note: After lots of discussion and feedback on the deskmat, I’ve decided to have another made in very similar style, but instead of this design. It will be the moons surface. Both will run at the same time.

The alphas look a little bit like Ashes alphas, but with a more green tint in them. I don't really see that much similarity other than that. I'm loving all these other gray sets that are coming out, it seems you can't really go wrong with making a gray keyset! I'll be looking forward to this one! That deskmat is really cool!

Always love space stuff.  The rocket doesn't look right to me though.  Seems too skinny and pointy.  Not sure how I would change it though.  Something that looks less like a fountain pen?

Ahaha yeah, that novelty needs a bit of work. It's just that the Saturn V is so damn pointy and straight. It's hard to recreate it without looking bad. I mean there are a few options, such as removing the flame, etc. But I'll see how I should tackle this

Very interesting set! I like it a lot, the one confusing point is the desk mat. The set is named Apollo but it looks like a broken apart space shuttle in the desk mat, doesn't really seem to line up to me. I'm not saying you should change it, but maybe consider an alternative deskmat similar to the banner picture you have with the lunar horizon, minus the text of course, I think that would look really nice. Other sets have done 2 desk mats before with decent success.

In contrast, notwithstanding the Apollo 1 fire, that program was a resounding success to be celebrated. I'd really recommend a different illustration on the mat. Maybe a render of the Earth as seen from the moon, with a lunar lander on the surface in the foreground.

Yeah, this has been the main source of feedback. I think I've decided to have a new deskmat design which will be in the same design style as this one. Instead, it will be of the moons surface, similar to the signature of the set, but more refined. The current deskmat will be run separately to this, so you will be able to get one or the other, or even both if you so choose!
