Way too much incoming..

- Cherry MX Silent Blacks
- Black aluminum case and Cherry stabs
- DSA Dolch and some blanks
- two grab bags from SP
- custom cable with aviator connectors
- $ynth 2.1
- Hakko FX-888D

... and then once that all gets here hopefully in a few days I still have to wait a few more weeks until the BananaSplit60 V2 pcb ships. At least that gives me time to properly lube the switches..

Patiently waiting for 2 Dolphin V2 boards to arrive.  Apparently, the GB organizer said they should be shipping out before the end of this month so here's to hoping.

SA Ice Cap TKL + Alternate Kit + space bar keys for 60%

Well... I got a couple grab bags from PMK recently and decided to try out a vomit set of SA on my Vortex Core and absolutely love the feel of them. So even though my set of DSA Dolche just came in for my upcoming BananaSplit v2 build, I just ordered a set of SA Ice Cap for it. I guess this means I have to figure out another board for that Doche set to go on. My wallet is really starting to hate me.. :P

and patiently waiting for notification of the BananaSplit v2 boards being shipped

Resistors.

600 of them.

Assorted values.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Same with my XD75RE. I already know they're going to keep it, I know I'll have to pay import tax and I know where I'll have to go to do that, but I can't get it until they send me the letter. I guess they have a bit of a backlog to work through right now.

Been there, done that.  And I've spoken to a number of other people who have had similar experiences.

I'm starting to think that SMK switches on the Minitouch are a lot less common than people seem to have originally thought.  My advice to anyone at this point is don't buy a Minitouch unless you've seen the switches.

Because those Hue Jie switches are complete ****.  Seriously they're some of the worst switches I've ever used.

Those switches are so bad :( The same thing happened to me a long time ago. I found the switch unusable. Even worse are the top row yellow switches, as if the switches could be any worse. They limited the travel on them due to the keycap being smaller.

On the other hand.  The NEC APC-H412 came in and it's fantastic all around. I really love the NEC Blue Oval keyswitches. Very Alps like.

The spacebar is a bit heavy, but I can get used to it.

I also got one of those New in Box with Windows keys... NMB RT8255CW+ keyboards with the Black Two Eyed Clicky Space Invaders. It's a very nice keyboard with nice switches.  I ended up selling it right away though.  I didnt care for the ultra stable keys (no wobble whatsoever). The sound and quiet double clicks were nice though.  Oh, and the spacebar was a beast...unbelievably heavy.  Makes the NEC one seem light.
