Well I received the Unicomp keyboard that is going to be a gift for my uncle yesterday.  Within 10 seconds of hearing me type on it my wife has forbidden me from owning buckling springs keyboards.  I am typing on it right now and I must say that it is AMAZING.  I can't believe that I have been missing out on this epicness for so long.

The reason that I unwrapped it was so I could install the "Geekhack.org" function keys.

I think for wrapping this gift I am going to do 2 layers of duck tape.  First layer is going to be sticky side out and second layer is going to be sticky side in.

Ah, thank you!

So it's only a buckling spring thing. I thought there was a GB once upon a time for it with different versions.

I wonder why nobody has done something like this for MX boards?

It did, it was $4.50 (basically materials cost for me) and no more have been made or sold outside of the two I did.

I think they're from the LEGO figures.  Pop their heads off and stick a stem on the bottom. :D

It's a little more than that since the stem is too big for the hole, but yeah, that's the basic idea.

Its like when I was younger and I asked my dad if you could squeeze a small block chevy motor in a little car.

His response was "with enough time and money anything can fit."

Hot rod magazine proved this when they found you can take the motor and transmission out of a Z06 corvette and bolt it into a pontiac solstice with no cutting or welding.  Including publishing every part number from GMPP needed for the conversion.  What they didn't say was how you would change the plugs and wires after bolting it in there.
