Need help finding gold color case
« on: Sun, 28 April 2024, 12:55:55 »
Hi GH, I just want to ask if anyone knows any Alu keeb with a gold color version? I'm trying to find a matching case for my Aluvia set but the rose gold color is a bit the same shade for me so I have tried to find the gold-yellow color one but I don't find any.

it's pretty hard to find like gold colourways for boards.

I remember the rama thermal had a gold one (but that's mostly because rama messed up the original colour which was supposed to be matched to olivia actually, it was the rosa colourway) I guess that's an option, but never buy from rama directly unless you want to start a money pit.

You could always cerakote, there is a probably a cerakote option for you as well.

cherry blacks - unlubed - filmed and springswapped with tx 55g mediums - alu Plate | pretty happy with this, the blacks were cherry picked so they weren't that scratchy to begin with, but currently breaking them in, may lube them with a dry lube like ro59 or ptfe powder.

bad orange alps lol | definitely needs a restoration. planning on wax boiling them and maybe a replacement pcb because the board has only 2 key rollover apparently.

gateron yellows - lubed with 205g0 - 62g tx mediums - pc plate | probably my favourite keyboard already, feels super nice and sounds pretty good, it's got a great layout as well. probably gonna build this with mx browns, I feel like it would suit the board more.

stock with silent reds | Pretty cool looking board, the silent reds are actually good, they are smooth and I don't mind the mushiness (it's not even that mushy as well). the layout is pretty weird, but is useable. will probably mod this in the future. maybe a pcb and plate swap, change the keycaps to something dolch like, and also spring swap the springs in the silent reds.

stock, needs a cleaning and probably replacement foam. Do plan to change layout so it has split bs and rs, as well as ansi enter.

Yeah the Neo80 champagne color does look good & should give OP what he is looking for. I was gonna say the Ouro colorway that was done on a few Rama boards would be another one. I got a Jules in it & it came out way more goldish than brown.

Then another one that came to my mind was the goldish color Hiney used on some of his boards. Can't remember the name of it I think the RAL was called beige champagne or something along those lines. It should pair well with Aluvia.

The last one I was thinking was the goldish color the Aaru TKL & 65 came in.

The Neo80 would probably be your best bet for price & availability, any of the other boards I mentioned would have to be gotten 2nd hand.

Ah yeah those are better options Rob depending on your price range, neo80 is a great budget board.

Just wanted to add the Laneware 67. I build this for my wife 2 years ago. and it is great!

Recently I heard that Laneware has abondoned his shop and is not shipping anything, despite the store still beeing online and showing in stock.
However these are rumors. I don't know how true or not this is. Better do some research.
