Base kit will be around 80-90 dollars, and child kits will be between 20-40 dollars, closer to 20 for the numpad, and closer to 40 for the novelties. All @250 moq

I will simply post pics of samples when we get those instead of sharing colors now

The base kit is missing R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn for 65%/75% support.

The R1 -_ホー key is missing the sublegend (chōonpu) in the top right. Example:

Nice to see katakana subs for once. I personally would've inverted the mod and accent colors to make the set pop a bit more.

Also, if KKB would be up for it, a katakana-only alphas kit would be so fire on this.

this looks like a SXM set but actually good

numpad in base pls? kkb's pricing is already good enough, no need to make people chase child kits for basic keys

Howdy, sorry for the lack of updates.

Added Mekibo as a US vendor and added numpad to base, currently looking for regional vendors and a second round of samples. First round was a bit rough. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I LOVE the novelties but was just wondering what was the inspiration for the colours?

When I think of yokai, I think of more reds, maroons and blacks and even the beige/creams that were the backgrounds of traditional Japanese artwork that these yokai are depicted. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice blue. I just don't necessarily see the correlation with yokai

Bit of a selfish request, but I'd also love if you could duplicate some of the novelty artwork onto R1 keys so you can fill the print, scroll lock and pause with novelties.

I really think the oni should be definitely be an R1 key (so u can put it on esc) considering how iconic it is

a peaceful village hidden in the mist where yokais and erm...more yokais live in peace in a post-scarcity society, very appropriate for a calamitous disaster that would form the bombastic opening scene for your next shonen manga series

Probably not, theyre just ws1 so theyre probably not too hard to find around.

Ive always associated blues with a sort of spookiness which is the general vibe we were going for. If the novelties had more gore we probably wouldve gone with a red colorway.

Thinking about doing an R1 metal artisan with the Oni novelty.

Numpad removed from base after receiving new quotes. Current round of samples is looking promising. Waiting on approval from the vendors and izeri.

GB potentially in july or august.

Looking for collabs now!

Why use these legends instead of the style that newer GMK sets use:

Insane that we dont even have numpad on base even with keykobo. They were supposed to destroy GMK not join them. GMK at least pays their workers germani wage, whats keykobo excuse?

Iím a numpad user whoís been around a while

The perk of keykobo is the decreased price for low volume child kits vs gmk, where splitting base and numpad makes the combined price usually +20% of what it could cost when one kit, and cutting doesnít save more than 10$. Since w keykobo itís only a coupla bucks more w split out numpad, and that at least 80%, possibly 95%+ of people never use numpad keys, splitting out isnít that big a deal.

Given the keyboard tendencies of people Iím glad the f row is still in the baseÖ

Averaging kit prices from 17 KKB sets (7 Full Base, 10 TKL Base + Numpad) yields:
   $96 Full Base
$92 TKL Base = $4 less than Full Base
   $20 Numpad
$112 TKL + Numpad = $16 more than Full Base

No two sets are alike, so take this average with a grain of salt. Other variables affect pricing: kit content, number of colors, custom vs. stock colors, with or without sublegends, complexity of novelties, cost margins, MOQ targets, etc.

KKB Outer Bounds Numpad take rate was 26% (68 Numpad orders, 258 TKL Base kit orders).

I looked at Numpad take rate about four years ago. While it varied widely, it was rarely less than 20%.

Usually the majority of TKL Base buyers don't buy Numpad, but it's impossible to predict the exact take rate. For KKB sets, should the Numpad minority spend about 17% more so the TKL majority saves about 4%? I don't think there's a right answer, but as a Numpad user I vote no.

In regards to all the comments about numpad in base, we talked it over with the vendors and at first Mekibo mentioned putting numpad in base and we did.

However after recieving quotes we found out that having numpad in its own kit did not increase its cost in comparison to having it in base. Lets just say the quote for the numpad kit was $10, adding it to base would just increase it by the same $10 not more not less which is not the case with GMK.

Add an r3 1.75u Enter and you're not only golden but ahead of the game in terms of 40s support. Cool and versatile set at the top my wishlist.
