Texture is from the paint, I didn't know it was going to add texture but I really like the outcome.

Red blank DSA numpad set. The stabs where to loose on the new keycaps so they fell out. Solved it with sugru

Easier and less permanent solution is pieces of plastic sandwich baggies.

Just had some sugru nearby and I do not think it will be a problem to remove it. Time will tell.

Damn DSA Dolch! I bet these are the ones I paid for and never received (no refund as of yet either). The SP website even says they never received payment for them. Very nice though! I need to keep up with their other site now

I also put the DSA Dolch set on my Filco. I am not really sure how I am liking it. The DSA set almost seems too low profile for the board.

Luckily the G710+ is kinda low profile already so lower profile keys work alright. I couldn't imagine DSA working on my old QFR though. I'm working on getting a Commodore 64C SA run going on SP to replace the DSA with higher profile keys (that is if 25 sets sell). I lucked out (except for all my keyboards having bastard space bars) and all of my keyboards have low trim. The Pure Pro in particular works really well with DSA especially since its lip is only 1mm thick, and stop at the base of the keys.

Yep! I prefer them that way weirdly, the Dolch alphas look real nice with purple mods too :)

I have not seen dolch in person, the mods almost look black to me but that picture shows off the gray better.

You should replace the switches that have sponge bob as the keycap with some squeaky non-lubed switches
Or maybe a mini squeaky toy that fits underneath the spring :s

Welp, it took me way longer than I expected since I had a bit of an issue with lifting pads but here it is. My Kingsaver now has Blue Alps. And it works, I'm actually typing on it right now to make this post. I'm very very happy to finally have this board and have the proper switches in it!

Now if only I could find some Alps keycaps/novelties...And I'll post a proper build log later.

It feels so good to have figured out all the problems on the fly as I was building it. I was really worried a few hours ago that I was going to botch it.

The Blue Alps are SKCM Blue Alps aka complicated Blue Alps. They're like Clicky White Alps but lighter and smoother in my opinion. Easily my favorite Alps switch.
