Don't them LED colour changers stop you bottoming out the switches?
With mine I realised that I cannot bottom out my clears so I took them all of. I was using DSA clears so I assume that they are the same design as the granite set.

They aren't bad on the browns! I still have plenty of travel after the bump before they bottom out. I had o-rings on this Poker and with the o-rings on it + LED covers the keys seemed to bottom out too quickly like you mentioned. I took off the o-rings and it's fine now.

I tried some blue LED covers on a poker with clear switches though and I had the same issue as you. It made the key seem to bottom out immediately after the tactile bump and that sucked :(

I should probably note that I had to sand down my led covers as well to get a nice fit. They were tight and sticky when I first tried them.

Pretty much what she said. The thing I found to be most annoying with them on the DSA + LED covers + MX Browns was the inconsistent feeling when you do bottom out. Whatever change they made wouldn't be so bad if they were just all one feeling, but ultimately I couldn't handle having them on stuff i use regularly.

They looks so damn good... if it didn't raise the keyboard's height so much, I would've bought one awhile back :(

You could always get it anodized yourself.
There is nothing in there really that absolutely needs to maintain its exact measurements. Caustic acid (for de-anodization) shouldn't eat away too much anyway.
The only problem with that is that it does cost money.

I am planning on putting GMK hyperfuse on this thing once I get enough money to get landing pads, grease, a novatouch, and the caps when the GB starts.
Although I am still questioning the logistics of ABS on topre, even if it is thick GMK goodness.

Added some washers to the bold mod I did a week ago. Wish I would have realized I needed them from the start because it wasn't fun taking it apart again.

Are washers required for a bolt mod?  I don't recall reading about them before.

Or, why did you need them in this particular case?

Some of the nuts were falling into the holes in the plate, bending the screws and just making it look sketchy overall. This fixed that problem.

Probably because it is the closest to an inverted T I could come up with and not need a third function key in the base layer and not screwing with F row or the number row.

Threw some cherry keys on from a NIB 1800HAU I recently received onto my MX Mini.

The gold stabs are awesome, Sprit!

Threw some cherry keys on from a NIB 1800HAU I recently received onto my MX Mini.
Not staying on the board but despite the bad photo they look pretty cool on it!

I seriously question why people want to use backlit caps when Cherry WoB exists. You can never go wrong with WoB Cherry. Gorgeous board.

Just a quick shot... I've build a Dolch Raptor for my gf. She wanted a dark colored board and didnt like the SSK I offered her. So I made this... Now I just have to find a damn candycorn for it.

This is awesome. I love the layout of the 1800. Did the Dolch space bar not work?

I sadly only had 7x ones. If somebody has one that fits, let me know.

For real. My wife sees my new keyboard and she say "Why does your keyboard look so...old?"

Dolch is always classy, and you already have a nice Esc key, no need to tacky it up with candycorns. :p

I offered her a SSK... and she said... "I don't want that ugly keyboard, it's so huge and fat. Don't you have a nice one?"

But she wants candycorn, since she saw it on my hhkb... and believe me, it was really really hard to explain that it doesn't fit on her keyboard. She even asked me if I could cut it and glue it on...  :'( :'( :'(

I tried the same! She started typing on the SSK, I came back 10 minutes later and it was unplugged on the floor.

"I don't like it."

Don't tell her now, but she broke my heart that very day. :'(
