We've received the first round of samples from GMK.

Alpha and mod colours (RAL 9001, RAL 1015) have been approved, the magenta and green accents need another round of samples.

Is it still true that the Numpad kit was cancelled? I actually ordered one on CandyKeys a couple weeks ago, and now looking at this thread it says it was cancelled.

On the CandyKeys website they still have it for sale, but they have the Accents kit as sold out at the same price. I'm wondering if they got it backwards (assuming the numpad really isn't coming)?

That's correct, it shouldn't be available to purchase. Sorry for the confusion, I'll contact CandyKeys to correct this error!

GMK concluded that the magenta samples were within the colour accuracy standards, so no new samples will be made and the set has already entered production.

The only vendor I know of that had problems with that is iLumkb. Have you ordered from them by chance?

As far as I know -with the exception of Kono and DailyClack- all vendors have shipped the set.
You can expect Kono to have extras available after they have started shipping. Deskhero, Candykeys and iLumkb have base kits ready to ship.

Ordered from Candykeys, keycaps and deskmat, people got their keycaps but I didn't because they were waiting on the deskmats. I thought they were maybe still in production.

Kono has a status page. Next up is Camping, and then Fleuriste. They are usually behind everyone else (Firefly shipped recently).

They’re full scam. Charge back if you can.

Jacob Alexander bailed awhile ago to work at Broadcom. No ones replying to emails for their support page. GMK Manta designer won’t even confirm they’ve paid the invoice and seems checked out as well.

For those of us that got scammed by Kono, is there any update as to what is happening for US/NA buyers? What happened on GMK's end? Where did the sets destined for Kono end up (or are they still in transit)?

I recognize this is a rough spot to be in and find a solution for, but I think it would help to at least understand the current state of affairs since the US/NA side of this GB has basically radio silent for months.

Prototypist, Candykeys and others can probably contact GMK to determine whether Kono paid their portion? I mean, I think we know the answer here. That would let another vendor pick up the sets by paying the difference and then people could get them.

Did you get paid your designer cut? That’s certainly been an issue too…

I tried to get info on them from the vendors and GMK themselves but none had a clue about what’s truly happening around Kono. The only info they had is that they are alive and kicking…I’m running out of options here, sadly. This whole thing is very sketchy.

Word is Kono didn’t pay for several GMK sets, which has been common theme to several other exit scams, along w company founders leaving and communication shutting down. We’ll see if Fleuriste (or camping 3, or manta) are one of them. I’m outta luck on credit card chargebacks but maybe others out there are better at it.
