Am I the only person who uses 1 monitor? Lol... I think it's clean looking.
But it's cool seeing these 4+ monitor setups.. Like you're from the future! :p

I had to go back to using one monitor a few years ago, but then came back to using two last year.  Productivity is just so much easier with two monitors.

Do you find it awkward to type with the keyboard at that angle?

I built my new desk, now I'm just waiting to build my main rig up again once the parts are in.
I already know that I'm going to want an anti-fatigue mat, though!

It'll be stained and lacquered in due time, but I wanted to at least show some progress on here!

This actually looks quite comfy.  Everything you want is within reach.  Loving the widescreen monitor.  Is that a 29" or 32"?  When I am done with my budget, a widescreen will be the first thing I buy for myself.

Thanks, I'm surprised someone likes it.  :))  It's a 29" ultrawide IPS.  :)  It's definitely cozy, but I do wish it were a bit cleaner.

I found an 80x30in slab of wood on the side of the road yesterday, so looks like I'll be building myself a new desk :)
I have no idea how, though.

I need like, a drill or something.
And some legs.

Still need a new desk. I need to stop spending money on keyboard stuff for a little bit so I can replace this thing.

Goes back to looking for ALPS keys for the V60MTS on pre-order...

I ended up going to four at one point but now I'm back to one.  After a while, the minimalism and simplicity is a refreshing change of pace, at least for me.  I feel a lot more comfortable at my desk now with just a single ultra-wide.

Yes one monitor to rule them all! I'm happy just using one as well. Although I can't go lower than 27" after using a 30" monitor.  ^-^

+1 Internet point if you recognize the logo on the clock.

I put this old map up on my wall a few weeks ago. We found it left behind in our last house when we moved in.
It's not dated but it's most likely from the late 40's since Israel is on the map but Germany is still not one country.
In the end.. the keyboard's most grand form of existence is as an ethereal bridge between man and machine..    Each depression of the keys, evanescent.. Our transitory thoughts crashing into the web, carving canyons through the internet wasteland such that life may once again flourish..

That map is *very* weird. There's Israel (since 1948), Germany is still one country (until 1949) and Koreas are already divided (since 1948), but Poland has old borders (until 1945).

Israel came into existence in 1948. Germany was divided from 1949 till 1990. French West Africa ended in 1960 and Belgian Congo in 1958.

You are looking at a map that was relevant for just 10 years at best.

Sent, why don't you love me?   :'(   I posted the AOC 29" ultrawide a few pages back.

Our love is a secret love.  It must be kept in the shadows.

Yeah, I picked one up for my parents a while ago but haven't had much chance to use it myself.  Was debating grabbing another one for my next mitx build.  I love my LG but damn is it expensive.

I am very happy with my setup, I only wish I had an L-shaped desk because I also use my desk for homework. I don't know if you guys can tell but it can get pretty cramped having a few sheets of math homework out along with a huge, bulky Calculus textbook.

A TKL or 60% keyboard would help there too

My temporary setup for photo editing...powered by Microsoft Surface Pro. I only use one Poker at a time, but thought you guys would like to see both.

You've definitely proven the worth of the multi-purpose paper :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Lol. I was wondering when someone was going to rib me for that. The monitor was too wide for the lower part of the desk, so I had to raise it up. It's an unadvertised feature of the paper ;-)
