I have some Matias blank keys for me to replace the modifiers. I am using the Matias Quiet Pro, meant for a PC, on a Mac. I changed the Windows key to Option and the Alt key to Command key and so needed the blanks modifiers to hide them from my view so I can press them correctly. Through this purchase, I found out that Matias keyboards have undergone some changes in the past 10 years where all the modifiers are now 1.25x. In the older design, the Opt/Windows key is a 1x. Cost me a bomb to buy from Matias due to shipping. And, it seems, no one is selling Matias keyboards used (not here, DT nor Reddit).

Happy New Year, GH!

Yes I know it should have been the solid A on that side, this just looked better to me.

Just receive at an artisan keycap, a Catnap from Sodie Caps.

It's based of the Loot bug from Lethal Company, and I do really love this cap, On my board as we speak.

cherry blacks - unlubed - filmed and springswapped with tx 55g mediums - alu Plate | pretty happy with this, the blacks were cherry picked so they weren't that scratchy to begin with, but currently breaking them in, may lube them with a dry lube like ro59 or ptfe powder.

lubed with tribosys 3203 | like topre a lot, prefer it lubed but did make less tactile but that might have been a skill issue. probably will get more tactile over time as the domes age.

bad orange alps lol | definitely needs a restoration. planning on wax boiling them and maybe a replacement pcb because the board has only 2 key rollover apparently.

gateron yellows - lubed with 205g0 - 62g tx mediums - pc plate | probably my favourite keyboard already, feels super nice and sounds pretty good, it's got a great layout as well. probably gonna build this with mx browns, I feel like it would suit the board more.

stock with silent reds | Pretty cool looking board, the silent reds are actually good, they are smooth and I don't mind the mushiness (it's not even that mushy as well). the layout is pretty weird, but is useable. will probably mod this in the future. maybe a pcb and plate swap, change the keycaps to something dolch like, and also spring swap the springs in the silent reds.

stock, needs a cleaning and probably replacement foam. Do plan to change layout so it has split bs and rs, as well as ansi enter.

Built with new nixies on pc half plate. Love this board already, probably the best looking board I own, those brass accents are so mint. Really like it as is, but I do want to try an alu build (probably with nixies as well) just to experiment with that.

Got a Matrix 8XV 3.0 today! Not a huge fan of the alum meme cut plate, so I might opt to grab a non meme cut aftermarket alum plate for it. Other than that though it's a great looking board! Can't wait to get it built & give it a go!

Very nice board. Yeah that meme cut plate seemed way overkill. If I had to get a matrix board, I would get a 1.2og cause of the low typing angle, which I don't think this board has.

Temtop M2000 Air Quality Meter.
Was worried about CO2 levels in the home since experiencing symptoms of high C02, so sprung for this tester after some research. It was also 50% off which helped.
Probably the best meter in the $100 range, and came in a nice metal carry case. On initial testing the CO2 lvs in my bedroom were over 2000 which aint too healthy. After leaving my window open just a crack all weekend the levels are drastically improved. Every home should have an air purifier and an AQ meter.

I live at the Equator and all our windows are always open to cool down the house. So, it is interesting for me to note that there are such meters and that high CO2 inside a house is a thing. Is it due to the house/room always being closed up due to cold weather? It's funny how I hate the heat and you all hate the cold  :)
