Yes, and although it may be difficult for keysets, other IC's should require an actual made prototype for it to be approved. That would cut down drastically on failed GBs, because people would have an actual idea on manufacturing costs and limits. Going from rendering to an actual product is a whole different step. As a machinist, a lot of what I see on here is either impractical from a machining standpoint, or a job no shop will want to take on (ie a case with 10-20 complex parts).
