I managed to source for a few sets of Cherry DS keys (about 5, or maybe more, depending on the interest) of the G81 keyboard (keycaps only) and these come in default with the RGB sets.

Anyone interested in a set?
Edit 1: Forgot to mention that these are about 90% new and lightly used, definitely not brand new.

Tentative price given was US$35/set but I have negotiated down to US$30/set if we manage to make 5 orders.

Shipping from Malaysia is about USD$10 for a 500g normal sized air parcel and will take 15 days.
Shipping using EMS service is about USD$30 and will take 3-5days.

I recommend someone in the US to take order for everyone and distribute from there.
(if bulk of the order goes there)

I'm still asking the source for other types of cherry keys but not sure if people would be interested in buying them - like this: (no idea how much they cost, but shouldn't be more than US$2 each?)

All right, for those who are asking, may I ask those who bought 2 sets to just limit themselves to 1 set because many others are asking.

Once the 1st group buy ships, maybe we can ask for more but for now, it is limited to 10 sets.

(I ordered 10 and this is not cheap, about US$400 and I had to fork all these out myself)

Erm, I am not sure but I get the impression that people are angry because I only gave 10 sets.
bear in mind that this was not a profit-driven group buy but only because I wanted 1 set and the price would be lower if we ordered more.

Unsure of the interest in mind, I just ordered 10 sets at first (due to financial limitations) and see how it goes from there.

If there are enough orders for the 2nd round and there are still stock left, I can order again I guess. (tentative)

Just for information purposes, these photos are all colour-accurate as far as I am concerned (on my calibrated Dell U2410) and compared with real-life photos.
All of the RGB keycaps are still in good order and do not seem to be in any broken down condition.
The general condition of the keycaps are a little bit yellowish and some scuffs here and there.

Considering how cheap the keycaps are (for doubleshots!), the final pricing are:
US$30 + US$8 shipping total to my place in Malaysia.

So each set costs US$38.

They most definitely are not. Those colored keys aren't made by Cherry. The font is way different and these are made for a different keyboard.

And can you still get more of these? I really want a set.

The ones with green text on them seem to be but I can't tell on the RGB keys without seeing them in person.

If I am not wrong, I believe these are ealso dye subliminated, just as the IBM RGB keycaps.

The font seems to match the Compaq made dyed sub RGB keycap sets linked from sixty's post in deskthority here.

Take a look here, as compared to IBM RGB keycaps (the most accurate colour representation I can get for Green only. Blue's a little bit off.)
Red Ctrl is supposed to be like light reddish, Blue Alt is sky blue, and the green's supposed to be somewhat faded green as well.

The texture of the ink leaks around the lettering seems to indicate it is - it's definitely not lasered or pad-printed.

(pardon the color-inaccurate picture though, green is quite hard to get)

The OP is a little confusing -- did you end up with any of the multicolored function keys and such, or just the white 2-shot sets with RGB modifiers?

I started the OP with various pics and only one person jumped the gun (HaveANiceDay) and asked for all the multi-coloured, function keycaps.
Hence those are all gone. I got the multi-coloured function keys for myself.

Tabulated the results, and here are those.
The shipping part I will have to confirm with you guys as I think it's easier for me to send them to some guy in US and have you guys redistribute it.

Preferably, I'd like everyone to have a set so that this is in the general spirit of Geekhack where everyone gets a share.
