I actually want the whole damn board. You need to swap the cable for a PS2 one, not hard at all. Caps will live on it, well at least most of the time... that is my absolute max bid though, I am pretty sure I will loose.

lol thanks. No I happened to get 2 sets and only need one. Check the prices on Ebay and tell me how I am hurting anything. I would also say you should have more confidence to buy from me since I supply decent pictures to show the real condition.

Now back to typing on your overpriced keyboard...

Comparing this with the Phantom and Round 4 prices, and key caps quality, it is still very cheap!!!!

Also, delivery will be much faster, too!
Buy key caps here: Round 5
Buy switches here: CherryMX

You shouldn't give reptile **** for this.

If there is somebody that stupid to pay these prices, so be it. Go after them for ruining market prices for the rest of us. Like the guy that bought his cherry DS for 100 when they go for 40-50 at the most.

Honestly, judging by the fact that the auction is now at $104, there is an ABYSMALLY low chance that it wouldn't have made it way past his starting point of $60. Quit giving him ****. I know RiGS and Fossala don't necessarily agree with (alleged) profiteering. You guys have made that very clear. Pointing it out at every turn will not stop it. I'm sick of reading it. He was looking for a dolch set a while ago. He bought one, then ended up with one from a trade. How the **** can you guys get so uppity about him selling his extra set? What is it that makes you so much better than him that you think it's perfectly appropriate to come in here and rip on him for not losing money? He's not going to throw money out the window just so someone else can have a nice thing. Maybe some people here can afford to do that. But not everyone.

While Reptile has been in the **** lately for some reason. Its a damn auction. Sure seems like the fairest way to let the market set the price. He didn't come in asking for $100. Which he could have and would of gotten it.

First I wasn't giving Reptile ****. I just simply pointed out that giving back to the community is a honorable thing to do by crediting fossala.
I'm not against this sale, however I don't like this "silent" auction system, because it provides an easy way to rip off someone. Btw feel free to ignore my posts.

Most forums call this threadcrapping and make it an instantly bannable offense.

Like OCN and HardForum.

OP doesn't like it just report them and I'm sure they'll be banned.  Wouldn't be the first time for some of them.

Welcome to Geekhack! Read the ****ing forum rules. It would be the first time for me. It was just a friendly bump on my part.

Please stop this lame generalization. Endorsing stealing from the community has nothing to do with capitalism.

Frankly, it has nothing to do with being fair. On the contrary, the nature of this type of auction gives an opportunity for easy shill bidding, and a hope of making more profit. It would be a lot better if this were just a regular sale.

Thanks to the people backing me up :-)

I could also see if I set these at $100 or whatever they would sell instantly then people would ***** about the campers snagging everything. I can't please everyone nor do I have the time to respond to all the hate.

I have never set any price ridiculously high (I actually think my stuff sells quick because of the low prices) but again I am not going to refuse a good cash offer.

I apologize if my rant seemed a little too directed towards you. I realize in hindsight you are not really attacking him as my post implies. I agree that fossala does good in posting deals, but I don't think his attacking Reptile is justified, as Reptile didn't purchase this with the intent of selling it.

Would you be more open to a post-your-bid type of auction? I can see what you're getting at with ripping someone off with a silent one. I swear I'm normally much less angry than that. I'm just tired of the whole capitalism argument. It's inevitably going to crop up, but I feel as if, since it can't really be dealt with, there's not much of a point to addressing it anymore. People don't often change their ways.

Note I am the 104 bidder.  There's a couple reason: 1.  I've compared prices to eBay and the difference is OK to me since the two sets were expensive buy it now wise.  Mostly 2.  I've been in an intensive care waiting room since Friday and buying it was a good distraction from my significant others mom's dying process.  NOTE keep bidding if you wish too.  I'm doing fine.

Wow!  I missed this.  Back in July last year, I bought 2 Dolch keyboards.  one for $50 shipped, another $55 shipped.  Then the 3rd one I had to pay $100 because I can only blame myself for posting all those awesome pictures with Dolch caps on them.    Most recently I bought 3 more, for $70 each plus shipping.

In general, I think what goes around comes around.  Auctions are a fine tool to get the market value for your goods.  I noticed REVENGE just sold his special print SSK at a much higher price than he would have received selling here at a fixed price.  I don't think anyone would give him a hard time since he used ebay.  After a while, I think people know you around here, and you make a few friends along the way.  That is why I sold one of the 3 Dolch keyboards to someone I know well here at cost, plus another set of Cherry dye sub RGB keys, also at cost.  Why did I do that?  I value the friendship more than the keycaps or money.  And hopefully my friends will hook me up with something cool later, and they have.
