Exactly 0 ISO layouts have done this.

Very confused about what about French makes it any different in backspace size to any other national layout - additionally, how many "small builds" provide support for the apparently compulsory 2u backspace?

Not to mention that it's not actually possible to add a 2u backspace to the kit, as the set is already in GB and thus quotes are final.

And because of the ISO enter key, the backspace has to sit on the top row, and on the french layout there is only 2 special characters keys after the 0 key, so you usually put a 2u backspace (where the | \ and the hand keys are on the picture above)

Thanks for the suggestion but we will not be changing the colors of the ISO kits in the manner you are suggesting. The row 5 2u backspace is the one included in the 60s+ kit already.

Do i understand it correctly that I should order ONLY the "Ergo Legends" set? Or are more keys required? I've found it pretty challenging to figure out what combinations of which sets I'd need, and would love some guidance.

You need an alpha kit:Grey, blue, or mono legends, and the Ergo legend or Blank set

so one alpha set, and one mod set!

Most likely, but you will have to be very lucky to get your hands on them before they sell out and/or you will pay more than what you would be paying now. The GB is still live, so if you are interested, it's better to get in on it now.

If you change your mind later, I'm sure you can always sell your kits on /r/mm.

There are no individual kit MOQs for KAT & KAM group buys.  Instead, the MOQ is the total number of keycap units sold.  A standard alpha counts as 1u, a standard RETURN is 2.25u, a standard spacebar is 6.25u, etc.  KAT Space Cadet's MOQ is 54,000 units, and as of 29 April 72,200 units have been sold.  MOQ has been met, so all kits will be made.

For future reference, it's pretty common to mark convex keys with a "c".


It also doesn't help that the flatlays use concave tops.

The alpha kit is 54 units (51*1u + 2*1.5u), and the novelties are 52.5 units (26*1u + 6*1.25u + 6*1.5u + 2*1.75u + 1*2u + 2*2.25u). This means that the kits will likely use a similar amount of plastic to make.

Thanks.  So that means, for convex caps up to 2u, they are:

40s Mods: Grey 1x2u.
Ortho Mods: Grey 2x2u, 2x1.5u, 2x1u. Blue 2x1u.
Spacebars: Grey 1x2u, 1x1.25, 2x1u. Blue 1x2u, 1x1.25, 2x1u.
Accents: Yellow 1x2u.
Ergo Blanks / Legends: Grey 2x2u. Blue 2x2u.

None of the printed blue r1 1u with legends in Ortho Mods are convex.

If I want 2x1.5u and 4x1u, say for a crkbd, I could get the the Ortho Mods and have grey 2x1.5u, 2x1u and blue 2x1u, but if I want >4x1u I can't get that from one kit.
