James/Masjewerke, Blacksimon, Tanghus and I wanted to start up a wee lil' podcast, and we recorded our first episode over the weekend since it was the Iowa keyboard meetup and I wanted to get Jack/Pikatea on as a guest!
I'll post every episode here once they come out, but the reason we wanted to come together for this was to not only give the opportunity for our guests to have a platform to share their stories and why they love the keyboard hobby as well as just fun topics in general (it'll mostly be keyboard-related, but it's meant to be just a casual chat amongst friends, so topics vary).
At the end of the day, we all are connected by how much we enjoy this fantastic hobby, and we wanted to make it feel like you, the listener, are part of this podcast. We're all good keyboard friends at the end of the day.
It'll be weekly audio-only episodes for now, eventually perhaps being bi-weekly and adding video. We'll aim for 1 to 1.5 hours even though this initial episode ran long, and at the end of every episode, we shout out a "good keyboard friend of the week" as a way of saying thanks.
It could be someone that got you into the hobby, a designer, vender, or friend that made a positive impact on your life, if you want to submit a good keyboard friend of the week nomination, we'll select one for each episode and shout them out at the end!
Anyways, we're all super excited about this, and we hope you all are too. Stay tuned! You'll eventually see your favorite keyboard peeps as guests, and we have a fantastic line-up of those that have said yes to the podcast already.
