IC Form

I would like feedback on the color combo and idea of running it as an alpha kit (based on notes below specifically for kitting). I do not have a current indication of GMKs new pricing for a kit like this, at this time.

A simple alpha addon kit, providing coverage alongside Drop’s WOB kit, or Qarmaa’s WOB Cyrillic, to use on multiple boards.
The extra tab allows for complete coverage of a board with an alternate bottom row, while the extra pipe keys (to be added) will provide coverage with WOB Cyrillic (arabic has no subs on pipe).
Sublegends are UV Printed. UK ISO addon keys are included as well as the extra B for ergo layouts. This set has an entirely new set of sublegends

Old kitting

More

Old kitting, and notes to be aware of:

- The current version is kitted out to have full compat with Drop's WOB kit.
- Will add Row 1, 2, 3, 4 pipe - for compat with Qarmaa’s WOB Cyrillic if you don't buy from Drop. Support Qarmaa!
- Z key has misalignment, will be fixed in render
- Parenthesis to be swapped
- < >, DF, CV to be swapped

For those wondering about swapped parenthesis, etc. This should not be done. Open MS word and check. It depends on the application's language settings, not just the OS.
If you're using Microsoft software, it will behave in a similar fashion to SAA. If you use a non-MS editor, or are in apps like discord, it will behave like Arabic 101 subs. I am sticking to SAA. See the difference here.



Sublegend color - V2


Some notes on the thought process with the legends:

- Disconnected glyphs are being used for each sublegend, unlike SAA, which mostly uses the connected character variant. For the sake of consistency with this character version, the sub on "I" key will remain as ه
- Symbols are repeated on number row, a nod to many people's endgame Arabic set, SAA. This isn't necessary but for the sake of consistency, I wanted this

Green might be nice, but lets take a break for a second. There are plenty of people who speak arabic, and aren't Muslim. Please do not fill out the IC form with what has become "Green = Islam" joke in this scene. Orange was chosen because it looks good, and I have not seen many sets with it done in this fashion. Sidenote, if you live here, you'll know the desert is orange  :p

You can't have partial ISO-UK support and then have R4 1u <>. It's either one (full ISO-UK) or the other (terminal ISO).
On a separate note, I think it makes little sense to base the kit's ISO support on ISO-UK when there is an actual ISO-AR layout (Arabic 102) that can be used.

Speaking of which, there are two types of Arabic keyboard layout: 101 and the aforementioned 102, and your kit seems to only cover one of those types (101).

I believe the parentheses on the Arabic layer should be flipped: 9 → ), 0 → (.

If you check above the kit render, I am adding the necessary pipe keys to fill out ISO support. The current kit supports coverage for Drops kit, and is being updated to full ISO coverage

Yes, youre correct, parenthesis need to be swapped. Stupid mistake, thanks for spotting it <3 whilst checking i realized i swapped < and > too.

102 coverage would be nice, but it would require a substantially bigger kit as there are at least another 10 keys to be altered. It would make this a fair bit more expensive too - I would be fine with running it but I'm not sure if thats a cost people would be willing to pay for what is essentially a simple addon.
Adding subs on the UK ISO variant makes a lot more sense for people i have already spoken to. Honestly if I was running 102 i would prefer a full kit.
