SP is taking a long time to make the quote. I believe they are also quoting Round5 which is a gargantuesque GB. I hope to receive news from them today or tomorrow.

Man I really wanted a beige PBT set. Maybe Matt can create a beige DCS PBT set if SP can get the spacebar
sorted out.

A blue and yellow enter option in the "bit of color" add on.  That sounds good.

In the RGB CMY mods you may want to include double left shifts keys in 2.25u if you want to cover our FC660's.

I've got pricing. It's not that bad actually.

The base set at 50 tier goes for $60... that for full PBT set sublimated is not bad at all if you ask me. Also consider that I definitely aim for 100 tier, which brings the price down to $54.

The Pro kit goes for $34 at 25 tier, but I'd aim at 50 tier or $27.

Icons $24. International kits $30. Ergodox $33 at 25 tier.

They are all pretty decent prices considering we are definitely aiming at higher tiers.

As always the ISO kit is out of proportion. $15 at 25 tier. Gosh, for 3 keys, that's insane.

When are you planning to publish the GB page? Are you going to use the SP GB system, aren't you? Is the issue with address data solved? How the S&H costs will be defined? How long is the GB going to be running? Payment methods accepted? It will be in the GB subforum, or in the SP one?

Matt,

I think a good option may be to offer the alpha set (light gray keys) as an independent set. And mods sets with legends, or with icons.

Very moderate prices!

Is the price for the ISO keys better at higher tiers? Maybe those can be baked into the Pro Kit or the International Kit without increasing the prices too much?

I mean I don't even understand why this kit is so expensive. It has 2x 1.25 key and the Enter key for 15$ while the Pro Kit has 7x 1.25 keys plus another 18 keys for 30$. Am I just crazy?

ok. price list for all kits. PLEASE NOTE that they are not final yet! We may still add/remove something.

The price per kit is for the MOQ. We can only go down from there. We could lower the MOQ for some less common kits.

When are you planning to publish the GB page? Are you going to use the SP GB system, aren't you? Is the issue with address data solved? How the S&H costs will be defined? How long is the GB going to be running? Payment methods accepted? It will be in the GB subforum, or in the SP one?

We have two options. 1) let SP handle this, and benefit of the very nice price list above 2) handle this directly (in collaboration with 7bit, but with a more user friendly system done by me :P) and probably pay more. We are not set yet on this.

I'm fine with you doing it either way :thumb:

Going with SP's system doesn't bother me.

One one hand, I dunno if it would be wise to put this completely in SP's hands before Macross is over and done with.
Not to mention the hit to visibility it would get in SP's vendor forum.

On the other hand, I dunno if the 'old way' is worth the hassle and the possible premium.

Dammit, I just want the keys!
Also, I don't wanna make it seem like I've jumped on the anti-SP bandwagon.

Just voicing my concerns, is all.

I prefer the option that ends up being the cheapest for me :p

I guess this will be 2) because there won't be import taxes if it gets shipped by you / 7Bit. But I am totally ok with SP as well, because it saves you guys a lot of work!

@ Matt3o

Have you thought about my previous comment to bake the ISO set into another set to lower the price?

I will be talking with SP about this. I believe the only way to lower the ISO Enter price is to place it alone. As far as I understand there are sorting/manufacturing issues with the ISO enter.
