I would rather add a new kit with yellow super keys.

Also should I add a RGB kit with symbols? wow... lots of options.

Fair enough, although I would hesitate to suggest adding another option having seen the enormous list of options already.

But if there is, can there also be a single orange Menu key?  To make RGBYO?

ehehe, fair enough :)

Revisiting the imgur album, another possibility would be to include yellow Win keys in the blue Enter set.  But then you'd probably need to allow printed and blank yellow Win keys in that set.  As opposed to including printed and blank yellow Win keys in the respective RGB sets.

Maybe printed and blank yellow Win keys in with the blue Enter would make most sense, as people seem to like RGB only, and won't end up with yellow keys they don't want, and tho who want to buy the blue Enter key would also gain yellow Win keys :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I've added a "lemon kit" with all yellow and orange keys in all sizes and variants (18 keys total), but I don't know if it will reach the MOQ

Are the RGB sets missing a second 2.25u shift keys?

In the case of the mod sets if someone needs a second 2.25u shift key, she may buy the corresponding pro set that carries one 2.25u shift, plus more different keys that worth to buy the addtional set, but in the case of the RGB, I do not see a reason to buy two sets of the same just for the sake of one key... do you?

Matt have you decided on colors? Specifically what SP codes?

Grays are 90%:

GKK + GDE

Colors I don't know yet if I want a high or low saturated RGB kit.

I really like RBH + VAZ + BTC but they are pretty "intense"

Are the RGB sets missing a second 2.25u shift keys?

we FC660M users are too much of a niche to add the 2.25u green shift. But if you find enough supporters...

I prefer the first set of colors.

The second one looks kinda pale, but you never know how this will look in reality.

But I am certain you will make the right choice Matt3o :)

I agree with your impressions of the photo. The first colors look richer, but it's hard to tell exactly without seeing them in real life.

First set, second has way too much black, besides darker colors equals less contrast with the sublimated legends.

I prefer the second, feels a little more subtle and a little less garish but I'll also trust Matt3o's decision :)

Had a hard time viewing the colour combos vertically, so I used some bbcode magic to have them side by side!

I like the richness of the first(left) image.

Reduced width and height :)

Why does GKK look different in the pictures? I suppose that the lighting was different, so no comparison can be made based on those pics.

Yeah, anyways, I think Matt will make a good choice, but if he wants others to contribute to the discussion we will need either, new pictures with balanced illumination or to get the current ones edited with a software to match the color brightness levels.

9fa191 vs a2a598

I'd say they are pretty close considering the camera phone. specifically the color balance is very close.

I should have placed the green next to GKK, but it's clear that one combo is darker and more saturated than the other.

Which one do you prefer? I read somewhere you prefer the darkers, but the contrast with legends will be lower.

Maybe a prototype for sublimation on the saturated colors may add some to the final decision, or maybe SP has some samples of caps in those colors with sublimated legends just to check the contrast.

Getting closer. Few updates here and there.

Changelog
- added homing arrow
- moved 1.25 shift into the modes
- added windowed blank keys

I'm still unsure about the YO kit... sound your voice if you really want it.

Also since I got basically no feedback about the Pear kit I either reduce it to the bone or let Muirium make it anyway he pleases.

WASD? Anyone?

YO and any other "un-needed" kits may be let get into the GB phase, and allow the interested parties to actually order them, if they do not reach MOQ their no needed condition will be confirmed.

Looking really good Matt3o! Now that the base and modifiers are split I don't think it makes sense for the vertical tab key (18%) over a horizontal key (77%). Personally, I probably wouldn't use any of the other keys in the modifiers set, opting to go for the pro kit instead.

Maybe I should expand my layout averages to include the 1x1 thumb clusters and bottom row.

I don't need the vertical tab in particular, but I do need the 1x escape, 2x backspace and many of the nine 1x navigation keys of the normal modifiers, so I'm getting it anyway. Plus who knows, maybe someday I'll get a GH60 or similar.

I think GKK & GDE is dark enough, and looks good.

As for the RGB kit. I think either will look good, but I'm liking the RBH + VAZ + BTC.

Ditto. I also would be in favour of a horizontal tab as part of the Ergodox set now that the other mods are separate. Curious what square frog's results would show.

I get it that the "Pear" kit is for the Apple fanbois (myself included), and thank you for that, I LOVE it!

do you think the 1u symbols coloring is fine?

Looking really good Matt3o! Now that the base and modifiers are split I don't think it makes sense for the vertical tab key (18%) over a horizontal key (77%). Personally, I probably wouldn't use any of the other keys in the modifiers set, opting to go for the pro kit instead.

Maybe I should expand my layout averages to include the 1x1 thumb clusters and bottom row.

Ditto. I also would be in favour of a horizontal tab as part of the Ergodox set now that the other mods are separate. Curious what square frog's results would show.

you guys aren't going to take a base mod kits anyway?!

i like the idea of blank mods that match the alpha legends

Tab was really the only one I had my heart set on, actually. The pgdw and friends are on my "nice to have" list, but most of the non-1u base mods won't even fit anywhere.

My impression in other group buys has been that having the same key in two group buys doesn't incur additional cost, but I'm not sure if that's the case with dyesub since the setup is different.

Okay guys. Horizontal TAB it is then. I'll remove the vertical one.

I cannot think in which cases they will be used matching with alphas, dont you think?

Function row?

I've added a "lemon kit" with all yellow and orange keys in all sizes and variants (18 keys total), but I don't know if it will reach the MOQ

That I DO like! :)

Thanks!

Who is the "Yo" kit for?

Rowdy aka Mr. Yellow ;)

That's me! :D

I suppose you are waiting for quotations on the new sets before go to the GB phase. When do you think you are going to open it?
