I still haven’t heard of anyone who wants a “SPACE” label on an ergodox 1x2 key. Does anyone really prefer that over a blank? I’d still suggest replacing the “SPACE” key with some other legend, and anyone who needs a spacebar can buy a half set of blank ergodox mods.

The copy/paste/undo/... keys are novel, don't think I've seen those before.  But I'm not sure I'd use them on an actual keyboard.

I'm using a KBT pure (not pro) version and I'm looking for a compatible blank set while not spending as much as I can.

Which set should I go for? I know I need the 1.75x R_SHIFT but that's all. I'm wondering if the other keys should be alright, like the alt/function/ctrl etc. Also, there's the tilde key on the right of the shift so preferrably the set should have enough keys for that too without buying an extra set?

KBT Pure (not pro) will need the base common set, one modifiers set either text, or icons, and a 6.25 space bar. But, the only way to get the right shift 1.75u is to get also the pro modifiers set, again in either text, or icons.

Oh alright. I guess I'll just go for the blanks for me since it's cheaper and it's what I wanted anyway.

I'm thinking that for other group buys, I should be looking out for the Tsangan set? Is that right?

And lastly, the 6.25 spacebar, I don't think that's needed right? Cause the common kit already comes with 6.25? I think those are the only things I have to watch out for I guess, the 1.75 r_shift and 6.25 spacebar.

Grumble grumble. Apparently with however they were saved by Inkscape, when opened by Illustrator these SVG files set all the text to be Arial Condensed.

Makes it much harder to usefully contribute. (I’m glad for free software, but I really dislike Inkscape’s user interface.)

Is there a way you can save them such that the font gets embedded? I guess distributing that version gets a bit touchy w/r/t licensing. Dunno what a good approach is.

You would do just fine with those keys. The pro kit will allow you some options for the windows key switched to the caps lock, maybe the star icon.

If I recall correctly Poker 2 layout is very standard. You'd need just Common kit + Icon mods, BUT I highly recommend picking the Pro kit as well as it covers less common layouts.

So some observations about the ISO enter:

It looks good and fits quite well - your non-keyboard-loving friends won't even notice. Typing wise it is quite similar but not quite identical to the deep sound of the DSAs. The only real problems are a. It wobbles a bit more than the DSA as their stems are tight and B it doesn't visually line up perfectly from the front (more obviously visible from the side but you won't be in that position). Overall a worth substitute given they can't make DSA ISO enters for whatever reason.
